These seem to be getting posted everywhere other than the Ableton Site
I downloaded yesterday and have been using it very happily since

The Live 12 has been released for me to download from my account, and in the time its taken me to do so and install it, my Live 12 beta serial number has been removed from my account.Mantras wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 9:54 am So when will the beta license disappear? When I got into the beta it said the license would be removed once Ableton 12 would be released.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Glad I downloaded yesterday, just tried from y work laptop to see if the release number had changed (it hasn't as far as I can tell) and its very slow- getting hammered no doubt!

Worth watching before you start setting up the new browser...which in my opinion is now the best browser in any DAW (especially with sound search)

Ah i love drift and meld+scales If i were to start music now, i feel like i wouldn't need much third party synths or fx, for anything electronic.
(orchestral and virtual instruments are another story of course)

Installed.
@mcbpete it did not ask anything about Live 10 installation if to remove or not, but migrated the settings from 10 to 12 silently. I guess I'll uninstall 10 manually then.
Anyway, first impressions: damn its faster in updating the screen than 10 immediately. New buttons. More space. Starts in 2 seconds like 10 on this machine. Its doing some analysis so I'm letting it be open then. Not sure about the current accent color (orange) - might change it later.
Current master project from the morning opened up faster than in 10. What. Nice.
Continuing exploring tonight.

Yes I noticed the same from 11 to 12 migration for me too last night. So I'm either misremembering the install process when doing updates to the major release numbers, or in 12 they have decided that keeping the old install intact is safer for users !legendCNCD wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 2:00 pm @mcbpete it did not ask anything about Live 10 installation if to remove or not, but migrated the settings from 10 to 12 silently.
