If you got Neutron 4 as part of the NI Komplete bundle you can't upgrade to N5 from this as it is not registered to your Isotope account only the NI one.

What’s the point then for users to the merging of PA, iZotope and NI under 1 brand (Native Instruments)?woodsdenis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 4:10 am If you got Neutron 4 as part of the NI Komplete bundle you can't upgrade to N5 from this as it is not registered to your Isotope account only the NI one.
Rhetorical question btw

More money for them, no advantage for old customers, perhaps some added value for new ones.Morty-C-137 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 5:33 amWhat’s the point then for users to the merging of PA, iZotope and NI under 1 brand (Native Instruments)?woodsdenis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 4:10 am If you got Neutron 4 as part of the NI Komplete bundle you can't upgrade to N5 from this as it is not registered to your Isotope account only the NI one.

I have, use and like Neutron 4, but never use the mixing assistant.worldfever wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 12:23 am is there anyone here that actually uses any version of neutron? the concept is alright, i just always found it to be actually more cumbersome to use than just uh..mixing by "hand"

I bought Neutron as part of MPB through iZotope but I have no upgrade offer either. Just loads of offers for things I already own, their 'loyalty' system is a jokewoodsdenis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 4:10 am If you got Neutron 4 as part of the NI Komplete bundle you can't upgrade to N5 from this as it is not registered to your Isotope account only the NI one.

Their loyalty offer system as well as their entire account system has never worked right. I didn’t have an offer either so I just bought the upgrade from previous Neutron on JRR Shop. I have also in the past mistakenly bought upgrades from resellers that I wasn’t entitled to and they registered just fine, and every time you buy a new version of MPS you get additional copies of Melodyne and the NI and PA plugins. The whole thing is a ****show and I’m amazed they haven’t bothered to fix it after, what, a decade at least? It’s like whoever manages their account and licensing stuff is piloting the shambling husk of something written by a contractor who left 15 years ago.aMUSEd wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 2:29 pmI bought Neutron as part of MPB through iZotope but I have no upgrade offer either. I upgraded to the most recent 2024 iZotope Everything Bundle and NI's K15 Ultimate Bundle not more than a couple of months ago out of necessity. I'm collaborating with someone who wants to stick with certain NI and iZotope plug-ins for his project. It's been a few years since I upgraded everything, so now was the time. I haven't been keeping up on a lot of the drama surrounding the company's business model since the merger. So forgive me if these questions seem dated or have been answered elsewhere.
- First of all, I'm stunned that there are zero Loyalty Offers for me after spending thousands through the years and holding a license for their recent Everything Bundle. Not even a $29 discount. I see they have a new reverb and saturation too and I never received a discount offer for that either.
- I'm just now realizing that they are behind on Native Apple Silicon support. I have to take the time to determine which individual plug-ins in the Everything Bundle that will only work using Rosetta. That's ridiculous, especially since it appears that some of them will not be updated at all. I knew about some of the really older products that were discontinued, but I thought surely by now they would have updated the popular ones. Yikes!
- This one really jumped out at me... we only get a single use license? Is that correct? Unless I'm misunderstanding something, I can't install the bundle on my iMac and my laptop for when I'm on the road? That should be a minimum courtesy for customers nowadays, seriously.
I remember a time when they were very responsive to questions and they seemed to genuinely care for end users. I'm getting a dreadfully-familiar corporate vibe from all of this. To be clear, I'm speaking about their policies and not making any sort of personal digs aimed at any employees. Is this experience now wide spread among the user base? I would think that the financial backing would allow better products and better service to flourish. But is everyone else experiencing these headaches too?

They've supported silicon for quite a while. I still use Neutron 3 (released June 2019) and it's native silicon.morphex wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 7:19 pm- First of all, I'm stunned that there are zero Loyalty Offers for me after spending thousands through the years and holding a license for their recent Everything Bundle. It's still three activations per license though AFAIK. At least one can be iLok. You can machine authorise using their own licensing system.
The loyalty offer though is genuinely borked. I opened three cases about it, each time they didn't fix it and kept asking me what I wanted and they'd provide a quote. What I wanted was for the system to work. It hasn't for years.
