How on earth are you meant to actually install all the Wusik stuff?

Just got the Wusik plugins on the XMAS sale because I liked the sound and workflow of Wusik Station X and I might as well have gotten all his other stuff for not that much more money.
I now understand a little more why companies elect to use their own product managers.
I am greeted by an overwhelming list of downloads with some sample rars seemingly duplicated 8-ish times? I'm supposed to download 16GB of extra sounds off Google Drive for Wusik AD? Though some extra sounds seem to be exes as well? (And they confusingly offer different version numbers during their installation progress screens - I hope that means I haven't done anything wrong but I'm really confused at this stage)
This isn't an invitation to hate on a product or individual - I really like the Roland LA or 90's sampler style of synthesis that Wusik Station seems to offer, but I am utterly, utterly overwhelmed by what seems to be a collection of software and samples organised about as well as my own downloads folder.
Am I missing something here? How do users of Wusik's software on here feel?

Yes.
And be aware that William often makes fake accounts with similar type threads to try to get more promotional talk going. So the invitation is there whether you want it or not.
Best suggestion is to lock this thread and contact him directly.

Definitely a better idea to contact the developer in this case.

I feel this way about all sample-based instruments. They take over your hard drive and your music. You end up being subservient to them, rather than the other way around. It’s why I just can’t be bothered with them any more.
Physical modeling puts you back in control of your own music, instead of pasting together a collage of someone else’s.
And physically modeled instruments are measured in kilobytes and megabytes, not gigabytes and terabytes.

Sample based instruments come in all sizes, so whether they fill storage is down to the user.jamcat wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 7:26 am I feel this way about all sample-based instruments. How do they seize control of one's music and make musicians subservient? And why is playing sampled instruments akin to pasting collages?

User error or misguided purchase. I’ve got a couple of sample based instruments (not Wusik!) and what you write of is alien to me. But then again, most of what you write makes no sense to me anyway, which is reassuring.jamcat wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 7:26 am I feel this way about all sample-based instruments. Okay, I'll do that. I wouldn't like to even have the appearance of promoting a guerrilla marketing scheme on a user forum.BBFG# wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 3:04 am Yes.
