I assume that anyone buying a new license now will have a much smoother time authorizing it without the "upgrade old license" step.
That's true. To make it more convoluted, I bought the bundle 2nd hand eons ago. When I did the Upgrade Serial thing it asked me for the original owners email address saying the serial was tied to it. Luckily I keep all my emails and found the email address so I could complete it. Hope to never do that again.

The developer of the new version seems to be Dmitry Sches.

From his website;

He passed away. The plugins are now being looked after by a different crew.

Yea these were done originally by various contract developers IIRC, some of them well known reportedly, but not specifically identified. It was not Nomad, but it was plugivery, who obtained
Nomad later. Something like that...

Correct. I've just checked my emails and they were known as ''The Nomad Factory Team''.

Interesting...I really like the nomad factory stuff, they're old but they do sound good

Wasn't it Bernie Torelli, who was the Nomad Factory guy too, that did a lot of the Plug & Mix stuff ?
I know the Chainer plugin actually says "Nomad Factory" in the bottom corner of the GUI.

And yes, I believe that sadly Bernie did pass away some time ago.

The P&M stuff is great, and cheap too, definitely doesn't get the love it deserves IMHO !

As far as I see no printable PDF manual.
Or am I blind?

I cant recall if Bernie had much to do with these, his health was failing and there were some attempts to raise funding and whatnot, it's hard to recall exactly what the timeline was. If there was one dev involved who would know it's likely the Tantra guy, who pretty much took over Nomad's stuff after Bernie. I'm thinking the vip bundle was how he came into the picture. I'm also thinking the plugivery taking over Nomad came up after all that to keep the brand alive.

I dont own any of these myself...

I found an old post of mine regarding Nomad Factory from July 2020:

I also found this on the new Nomad Factory page:
In January 2016, Plugivery Distribution took over Nomad Factory's business following the sad passing of long time friend and partner Bernie Torelli. Since they acquired the company, Plugivery maintained the product line and launched 5 best selling plug-ins inspired by Bernie's notes for upcoming products that included: Bus Driver, 80's Spaces, Analog Studio Rack, Garbage LSD and Drum Tools.

New products will shortly see the light of day with Bernie's graduate assistant Maxence Grandidier as lead developer. Assisted by new, young and talented developers, Maxence, with a solid team of staffs at Plugivery, is surely the man to keep the spirit of the legendary Nomad Factory brand.

So both Dmitry Sches and Maxence Grandidier (he also works for Flux:: Sound and Picture Development and Audio Thing) seem to be responsible for the coding at Nomad Factory
