I see kontakt auto adjusting volume to -19.9 db every few seconds. Why does this happen?
I checked the midi monitor and it shows Controller 7 being sent every 15 seconds.. How to prevent this?

I don't want to turn off CC7 all together because i use it to automate at times.
This happens only in my DAW and not stand alone. I use cubase as my DAW.

If you start a new project, add a new kontakt , does it still send the cc7?
My guess is you recorded some automation lane(s) sending cc7 by mistake.

Found the problem. It was a midi keyboard-maudio keystation mini 32 which i had connected which was causing the issue.

I find a lot of libraries super quiet but never noticed auto volume adjustment. Session Percussion in particular is incredibly quiet.
