mastersoftheblackverse wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 11:05 am We have an update:
https://github.com/giulioz/jv880_juce/r ... tag/latest

Some synth parameters are working now
Can I just download the jv880.component and replace the old one with this new one?
Just check before erasing old one. Some old test projects didn't loaded the updated version.

Thanks for your replies! I'll try again. Could you tell me what changes I have to look out for?

Cheers, Bob.

I initially had a Logic 10.8.1 (Intel) crash. But after restarting my Mac, the JV880 1.0.0 AU plugin works here.

It works fine here too (except for that crash) on Logic Pro 11.1.2 and a Mac Mini M2 Pro with Sonoma 14.7.4.
I just don't see difference between my original version and the latest, neither in functionality nor in version number, they both give 1.0.0.

Is it normal that no matter which patch I choose, in the green window on top it always says I01 and [U001]?

As far as the sounds are concerned, I have a hardware XV5080 with both Orchestral rom cards and the Pop card inserted. I compared the sounds of the software to the ones for the hardware and they are uncannily identical. Slightly more reverb on the software ones sometimes, but other than that no difference at all. Absolutely great stuff!

Yes, you need to reset the plugin registry though. Which is done either by restarting your Mac, or executing a line in Terminal (Google about it).

Yes. The preset you select is moved to the temporary buffer, always.

Thanks for getting back to me EvilDragon. What is that and how do you do that?

Post

Just restart, it's easier. Or Google "macos au registry reset".

The previous version passed the AU validation, so it's specific to the last (downloaded the 30 of august)
