Yup.

Since you CLEARLY didn‘t intend to, you will be surprised to learn that the specific image you picked is of the specific poisonous gas which was used in concentration camps by the nazis.

Gift generally applies to everything poisonous, so the point could have been made with any image. Strange how innocent image searches go sometimes.

I walk into a music store and ask, "Do you have, Fender Pro Studio 8" assistant says, "What's that', I try and remember again and say 'Fender Studio One Pro 8", assistant says "No we don't have that listed either", I then say " Presonus Studio One Pro 8", assistant looks at computer and says, that's not listed either. I then say, "Studio One 8 Pro By Fender", assistant shakes his head and says, "No". But we do have Cakewalk By Bandlab. I give up and leave the store frustrated. I walk back in and shout, "Presonus Studio One 7 Pro", assistant says "Yes we have that in stock."

Alternative names they could have used.

F-Studio-One Pro 8
F-Studio 8 Pro
Pro Fender One 8
F-One Studio Pro 8
F1 Pro Studio 8
F1 8 Studio
Fender DAW One 8 Pro
F-DAW One Pro 8
F1-DAW Pro 8
F1-Studio Pro 8
F1-Pro 8 Studio
Pro F Studio One 8
F-Pro Studio One 8

My thought was to have a completely new and unique name change so it would be less confusing going forward.

So I upgraded tot Fender Studio Pro 8 yesterday, but nothing showed up in my account. Sent a support request, no reaction at all. I've bought every version of Studio One in the past (yes, all 7 releases), but I'm quickly beginning to sour on them.

Being the smartest salesman on planet, I don't get why I need subscription for those 2 additional mix bus plugins. Who would switch to subscription only for those 2 plugins...? On the other hand this is a very unique Studio One feature (one of the few), and crippling the pro version by not including it for the normal pro tier does not seem to make a lot of sense to me.

Do Mix FX plugins work with surround sound yet?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Did you login at my.fender.com?

I got some strange place from presonus.com and no products or anything that I have license for.
- so still glitches with the merge it seems

Yes, I did login at my.fender.com. I see all my old Studio One versions there. Just not the new one I upgraded to.

I saw a message from another guy on another forum yesterday, who had the same problem. So it's a lottery really (maybe clusterfuck is a better word). If you're lucky, you're getting a free update to 8. If you're unlucky, you pay and can go sit in the waiting room to get the product you paid for.

Ganz bestimmt nicht - das ergäbe auf Deutsch nicht den allergeringsten Sinn...

After watching some videos about it, I think that Studio One Pro 7 version 7.5 disguised in Fender Studio Pro 8.

My take is that Fender wanted to fast release Studio One under they name that they forced Presonus to halt Studio One Pro 7.5 and make it Fender Studio Pro 8.

I won't upgrade until I see a really good upgrade offer.
Right now, I have to pay $99 + tax which is $123....

I got a receipt in the mail from Presonus after purchase.

If it went through and money drawn you should have too.

First time I went to purchase, it picked upgrade to some sub+ or something only, very small amount.
- even though I selected the perpetual
- so aborted it all, and tried again and then is said upgrade Studio One(Any version).

But receipt should say what you purchased.

Yeah, I did receive a receipt (from Fender). And it was paid in full. But so far I haven't received the upgrade I bought. No reaction to yesterday's support request either.

If they haven't solved this by tomorrow, I'll ask the credit card company for a refund.

Says all 3 are included under the header "MORE THAN 45 NATIVE EFFECTS INCLUDED" but upon checking I don't see them: https://www.fender.com/pages/fender-studio-pro
This wording is unfortunately misleading. The detailed version comparison shows that all Mix FX effects are subscription-only.

*ouch*

So you (still) can't get perpetual licenses for them at all anymore... well, let's see how well that turns out for them.
OK well I've opened a ticket with support and screenshotted that page - it is entirely misleading and I hope they can be persuaded to include them. It clearly says 'Fender Studio Pro’s core library'.
Not had a response on this yet but digging round in their FAQ it clearly states that:

'With Fender Studio Pro 8, perpetual licenses include all extensions and virtual instruments available at purchase, like Audio Batch Converter and Presence Editor. You'll also own all Fender and PreSonus virtual instruments and instrument Sound Sets including Deep Flight One, Lead Architect, Cinematic Lights, Sub Zero Bass, PreSonus Studio Grand and PreSonus Symphonic Orchestra, and all Presence Sound Sets, plus any new virtual instruments released within the included one (1) year of new feature releases.'

So I think they are out of line with their own FAQ as well as what it says on the product page. I do have the batch converter and Presence editor.

With luck retailers will discount pre Fender upgrades to v7

That's outrageous - by the look of it they want to play the (re-)definition game.
"These are not available extension as you can't currently purchase them."

Under EU law what they do is clearly illegal - e.g. in Germany it's actually a jailable offense.

Unfair commercial practices are those which:

are contrary to the requirements of professional diligence; and
are likely to materially distort the purchasing behaviour of the average consumer.
I was about to purchase the upgrade, assuming all MixFX were included, as per their respective claim on the product's website - time to make some screenshots, me thinks. (Like Presonus Software I'm German. Edit: nope - I almost forgot that they're registered in Ireland - still EU though.)

Edit: they already changed the website though - maybe it was an honest mistake after all. But they really need to get their wording straight.

The "User Guide" says:
Getting more Mix Engine FX

Further Mix Engine FX are available for purchase on the Fender website, and at the time of this writing include CTC-1 Pro Console
Shaper, which features three different console models, as well as Alpine Desk, Brit Console, and Porta Studio—available individually or
bundled as “Retro Mix Legends.”
So they should be availabe for purchase again at this point and there's a clear contradiction right there!

Edit 2: nope, they are not available - it looks like they simply replaced "Presonus" with "Fender" everywhere in the manual without actually checking whether all the information is still current and accurate.

Yet on the changed website they now say:
For a full list of included plug-ins and instruments, check out the reference manual.
(linking to the "User Guide")

What a f**k up - they are obviously alarmingly incompetent.
