Komplete Kontrol - make pitch bend behave like modwheel?

I have an M32 Komplete Kontrol with the rubber touch strips. I never need pitch bend. But since it jumps back to the center I also can't assign it to most modulations and it sits there being unused.

Is there a way for it to behave like the modwheel touch strip, somehow converting incoming pitch bend messages into a continuous MIDI CC message or something, so that it does not jump back to center?
