Tried to convert .EXS to Tonverk elmulti, but get Failed to Load Instrument Multi Player Sample Error. Can't tell you why as logs encrypted. Happy to test for you on Tonverk & send you logs if you can get Elektron to give you decryption instructions for log. Would prefer to do by email if you have a support contact address as I don't spend time here.

Another excellent upgrade, I´m /so/ close to finally being able to ditch a certain crash-prone vintage conversion tool
Say, when I select a folder of ISO files, would it be possible to create a subfolder per image in the destination folder? That would make batch operations a lot nicer.
Oh, and when I convert Ensoniq sounds (yayy!), I get four destination folders/patches per Ensoniq patch. Is that because you create one patch per "patch select" combination in the source patch? I think just translating the first "patch select" would be sufficient (or maybe a "source pane" option "first patch select" / "all patch selects", but that would best work for Ensoniq format files and Ensoniq ISO/IMG). Would it be feasible to enhance the translation of that format?

Does ConvertWithMoss have batch processing?

Great update.
Have you considered dumping out general-purpose convertwithmoss manifest files for the generated instruments/presets from your intermediate representation - essentially just a serialization to a json file or so?
I'm asking as I have some (still) internal importer tool for a software sampler and it would be kind of awesome to add this "best representation" as an input source for my importer. Or is like the SFZ already a direct 1:1 mapping without lost detail?

It is already on my long list of potential formats to look into. If you have any infos about and/or example files, feel free to share.meszi wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 3:29 pm Are there plans to include Digidesign's SampleCell II? I had such a card decades ago but cannot play songs from that time. Maybe this software could make it possible...
Ciao,
Mészi.

It is a bit tricky with that format. Actually you can have 4x4 combinations resulting in 16 potentially different sounds. Since I wanted not to go totally down that road I chose to create the obvious 4 ones (since there is also a feature for that on the sampler to switch the identical patches).epiphaneia wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 10:36 pm Oh, and when I convert Ensoniq sounds (yayy!), I get four destination folders/patches per Ensoniq patch. SFZ is the way to go.bnz wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2026 6:19 am Great update.

I tried to convert other formats to Tonverk Multi and got the same error.virtualpt wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 6:21 pm Tried to convert .EXS to Tonverk elmulti, but get Failed to Load Instrument Multi Player Sample Error. Can't tell you why as logs encrypted. Happy to test for you on Tonverk & send you logs if you can get Elektron to give you decryption instructions for log. Would prefer to do by email if you have a support contact address as I don't spend time here.
I´ll also be eager to help if there´s anything I can do.

This is what I figured so far. Have been corresponding with Jurgen about my findings.epiphaneia wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2026 8:48 pmI tried to convert other formats to Tonverk Multi and got the same error.virtualpt wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 6:21 pm Tried to convert .EXS to Tonverk elmulti, but get Failed to Load Instrument Multi Player Sample Error. So I compared the failing file to an elmulti that I generated using Loopseek.
Based on this comparison I did the following:
Removed trim-start & trim-end attributes
Result: Loaded & worked, but had click on loop
Additionally adjusted loop-crossfade attributes from 0 to 32
Result: Loaded, worked, no click on loop
loop-crossfade value of 32 was an arbitrary value that I copied from the file that was generated using Loopseek, so the value was not scientifically calculated.

i converted some sf2's yesterday and they loaded fine on tonverk.
i think i left all defaults on ... convert to 48k etc.
pads looped with no clicking .. things sounded fine .
i tried other formats but they had license authorisation issues, i think they were bought native instruments kontakt/maschine libraries so it was expected.

Great work, thanks! ... seems my help won´t even be necessary anymore (and I´m >< so close to being able to put all of my vintage hardware sampler cd-roms on the tonverkvirtualpt wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2026 9:00 pmThis is what I figured so far. Also .. I think I also found on loopseek that if I trimmed the start and end , so the sample was only the loop section , Tonverk complained .. something about them being zero bytes long … apparently it worked on older firmwares but not recent , so might be Tonverk . As mentioned , to fix I just removed the option to trim and used more sample memory… it’s got lots anyway .
