it's a waveshaper that i made to replace izotope trash 2 for myself

it offers a pretty comfy workflow, a built in oscilloscope that allows you to see the applied effect instantly and a clean sound. it's really lightweight on resources too!

How did you build it?

i've built it using C++23 and the DPF framework.

it's a really simple and stripped down framework that doesn't even have any DSP helpers, so i had to make everything from scratch. both the UI and the DSP.

though one thing that's nice about it is that you kinda enjoy making the UIs. i made the UI using an app that's similar to Photoshop and translated it 1:1 to Nanovg code which is a library for drawing stuff in the screen that DPF bundles.

that's why i like DPF because it's so simple comparing to JUCE and can heavily recommend it to anyone who wants to build plugins. falkFX done a great job designing DPF, so shoutout to him
