Anyone own Visco from Forever89? I haven’t seen much mention of it here, but it’s a pretty unique plugin with the potential for broad application.
What really appeals to me is how easy it is to manipulate drum samples and build incredible new kits from them.
I either take samples I already have, or stem split songs and extract samples of individual drum hits. Visco is great at accurately resynthesizing the samples, and the best part is that you can mash up samples from well-known songs and get something entirely new.
Recently I took the drums from Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics and the drums from Blue Monday by New Order, and once everything was loaded I spent a couple of hours tweaking and creating new kits to improvise over.
For a long time I was a pianist come to other keyboard sounds, but between Visco and Sersti Sample I have really changed the way I approach music creation.
