Especially like TALs Jupiter 8, no one else seems to realize the J8 was a Dual voice 4x4 = 8 architecture besides TAl. so cheers to them, and Gforce with this.

well..luckily with analog lab one can layer (key ranges) whatever with whatever, if one needs that..

You can also do layers in Bitwig, Ableton, and BlueCat's Patchwork. But layering within the plugin is not as cumbersome. I only care about the plugin for the SSM filter and XMod. I'm not sure if I'll sell Repro, though. I used it in a lot of projects.

true..but my point was that analog lab does a thing in between, which is kinda neat. Bit more hassle compared to 1 plugin, less hassle compared to a DAW

It's not really taxing my CPU even with 2 layers on and 10 voices each - however where is the multicore toggle just in case I find a patch that does? It's not in options or the places I would usually think to look

I can't find any multicore options either
I also didn't think it used that much cpu until i played the preset called "the Instinct" with a few chords playing

I think you can change the font size in the menu.

Sold only because it's not practical for using live.

Listened to Starsky Carr's comparison with the hardware Rev4.
I do think the Gforce plugin sounds good... but (to my ears) it's not as good sounding as the hardware. The hardware just has a little something more (more 3D or lively sounding).

Agreed. Only took a few seconds to hear it, too. Same as with Repro. Softube seemed closer to the version it’s emulating but is frustratingly lacking in features.

I know at least one kvrer who has a hardware rev4, would be interesting for him to put up some blind abx audios between the two and let those, like Jim (and 'vito' ) who say they hear a difference, tell which is which..

I know for my own ears, though I don't have access to a hardware, I had access to audio from a hardware and I couldn't tell the difference.

(I helped beta test this for the last quite a few months).

Sounds really great and the demo presets are nice.

Common GForce nitpicks:
- UI could, as usual, use some work on the clarity side. Fonts are not crisp enough.
- No MTS-ESP, which costs about 20 minutes of developer work per plugin and needs no UI affordance or anything.
- The Vintage knob seems like it goes too high. I kind of just wish there were 4 settings here: off, low (set to about 1.5), medium (set to 4), and high (set to about

If you want a fully true-to-hardware emulation get the Model 80. Get this if you like the presets.

Model 80's cutoff is tuned lower. If you lower the Prophet-5 cutoff in REV 1/2 mode, you can pretty much match the sound. The Prophet-5 can pretty much match the sound of Repro in REV 3 mode, no lowering of the cutoff required.

The difference is that this is based on the Relative new Prophet 5 Rev4 so it has the same 2 filters to choose from and the Model 80 and Repro are based on the Old Cem Prophets so they are not the same

The Prophet 5 Rev4 has CEM chips.
