Looks like the best approach to managing plugins in Reason is to make a custom folder and place in it symlinks to just the plugins you want to load in it

Or simply toss the boring, useless BST in the bin??

I just upgraded on the basis the reverb alone is pretty much worth the upgrade fee to me, it’s really very good indeed and can do the bread and butter stuff to the really creative and eclectic stuff really well…I’m mainly a rack guy but Reason certainly looks a lot better and has a lot less clutter than Fender Studio…I may give it a go again as a DAW.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It was more the case that I only really needed a decent piano and sampler (Pianoteq and Falcon), both of which Reason lacks, and didn’t want Reason to have a slower startup which it does if it has lots of plugins to scan

Not me, but Reason 14 crashes at least once per session for me on my Mac. Often while loading a VST plugin.bite_me wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2026 5:19 am Someone else experienced annoying GUI jumps (unintended scrolling) in Reason 14?

I'm experiencing GUI glitches since version 13. Support provided me with a patch so that Reason doesn't run on my GPU (AMD RX6600). It works partially; they've been reduced quite a bit, but there's still some of them.bite_me wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2026 5:19 am Someone else experienced annoying GUI jumps (unintended scrolling) in Reason 14?

I have waited 6 days after a support ticket was raised. I have not had a single response in that time. Is that normal?

Not „normal“, but yes - currently are a number of complaints over there at ReasonTalk. Seems like support is currently not in good shape since Landr has taken over business.crashedthecar wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 10:09 am I have waited 6 days after a support ticket was raised.
