From dealing with Spe3d before, I just know he's a very generous and helpful dude.

And, even all that aside, Audioshot/s is one of the VERY best options for all those people who don't have an idea about where to post songs, samples and whatever.
You don't even need to sign up to post things in the Auditorium. Tell me a SINGLE place on the web where this would be possible! I'm pretty much sure you won't be able to.
For example, I just mirrored a Rhodes SF2 patch there a few days ago (didn't have enough space on my ISPs webaccount). Easy and flawless operation and QUITE some people were just happy.

In addition, you can still sign up for a free web account at Audioshot - and in opposite to Yahoo/Geocities, WebSamba and what not, the bandwith limit won't be exceeded just because 2 people downloaded your stuff.

Maybe Peter (Spe3d) HAS some financial interests too - I'm even sure he has, to a certain extent.
But MANY of Audioshot/s' services are just there for FREE and I think Peter set them up to actually HELP musicians!

This can ONLY be appreciated BIG f**king TIME!
If it was just about me, Spe3d could post Audioshot ads as much as he'd like to - he's allready been doing marvelleous things for all the poor folks withour proper webspace (or knowledge about how to set things up) allready.

So, better save your grumpy comments for someone actually deserving it.

agreed sascha spe3d is a top bloke.
theres a lot of people here who feel the same too,not just one or two

never had any problems in my dealings with him,hes always been a very patient man with my lack of knowledge

very helpful spending hours helping me get my site running after i had caused some f**k up.

i felt that day,but no he just brushed it off and said cool sorted time for coffee now laters

Oh. Thats no fun, its well know i pass out all the time when i have tattoos. Always get them done when i have a hangover, and no food, plus my low pain threshold. They carry on tho, kinda like tattooing a coprse i guess. I wake up, and its done

I did this logo for Spe3d gratis because I feel he gives so much to the computer based music community.

He helped me immensely with my website for almost no money. My previous experience with web hosts was expensive and un-fulfilling to say the least. AND the guy will listen to your music and give you an honest opinion to boot!

I think one of the great things about the current computer music scene is how much giving does go on from vsts to people posting their music for free. I'm happy Spe3d used the logo I did for him as the auditorium is really cool IMO.

I bought space and I still haven't set up my site but even so I've had some excellent advice from Spe3d. So it's just a matter of getting motivated.

Audioshots is a good idea and I don't think it's spamming to promote it but if people think posts about it should go in the Market Place forum then so be it. I don't mind either way but I admit I'm biased.
