Damn, now that I've finally got my soundcard semi-sorted I could kind of eke this bastard out in a long render, though there's much I wanted to surgically do to these tracks to make it more runny-fun ;)
I have lost patience, so here is my cover of Chick Corea's "La Fiesta"

Perhaps I'll finish remixing it someday.

Here's what I used to make it to the degree that I can
recall what I used at 6 AM, plus help from a friend with
a Mac since my PC is so sick right now:
  • Miles'Tone betas 5, 3, 2 & 1

    Roshman2

    DMI Flute

    EVM Bassline 1.1

    Balthor Grand

    Sax-O-Phunk

    Galls'Tone

    Nay

reminds of the days of Harvey Wallbangers in Mexico,
I know, Galliano is an italian military drink, (spaniards were jealous),
but, it was salted with flowers, spices and herbs, much like the track,
like the furious bass squash around the 2min mark
gulp!!

In 1979 i saw Chick Corea with Herbie Hancock and also with Gary Burton doing 'Fiesta'. Two wonderful experiences......
and now this: Herbie would like it for sure.....and i'll put it on my next mix-cd.....great instrumentation (though the piano-chords sound a bit over-quantized, or is it a midi-file?, but that's the only complaint), great ideas and a very dynamic approach!

Let me emphasize that this is just a score with lots of VSTs to show them off. Sort of the opposite of the "Full House" theme I posted.

Roshman - Richman2, rofl, I was tired.
Nay is by Safwan Matni: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1056.html

The point is, essentially, that I love this song and I love trying to make these VSTs sound cool.

And also I have a very strange sense of humor ;)

They sure as hell don't sound real in my mix, but almost everything does a pretty friggin good job of filling in for real instruments in a weird VST way.

Then again, using Tunguska on the drums for no real reason just proves that I made it.

Shit- I've got to get ready for work :(

I'll listen when I get home, CJ...
