I made a new build for all the recent changes to Scratcher. This is by far the largest update I've done to date, but is mostly small changes and fixes instead of all-new features.
It's testing fine on my system in both Ableton Live (demo version) and Cubase SX3. For users of Live and eXT, the key shortcut list now has buttons for adding and removing mutes. Additionally, the file saving system should work in all hosts now. Most other updates are listed on the website.
I'm temporarily pausing development for the standalone version, as the pluggo version is now much more stable, and it's getting too confusing to constantly go between the pluggo version and the standalone in terms of development (both platforms have different requirements in terms of stability and what can/can't be done).

That sounds right, as I'm still not done mapping things to what the host can remember (Max doesn't make it easy, so I have to write my own scripts for most things). The current wave selection will definitely be remembered by the next update. I apologize if you thought memory of everything was implemented already.djsubject wrote:testing in eXT,

The midi mapping memory right now works on the last midi settings file you have loaded. It doesn't remember the midi settings itself, only the last file you opened. I'm definitely going to add memory for the last midi settings you saved also.

No, it's cool. It reminds me how necessary those things are, and your descriptions were clear so I knew exactly what you were talking about
I'm glad to hear it's recalling what I've told it to so far.

So far the next update will include adjustable settings for grid snap and grid spacing. It will also have the ability to load only the fades or movement from a saved scratch (in addition to the whole scratch as usual).

I redid the entire audio engine this weekend to make it use much less CPU and RAM. I had to redo it anyway to make room for the eventual ability to record scratches : )
I'll post an update once I get a couple more things taken care of.
