If that is the only wrong thing that happened with one person trying to manage such a big charity drive then I say "Great job. Time to move on. Hope to see you do this again next year."

Don't forget, the main point of all this is to raise money for Save the Children. Anything else is trivial.
All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

There was a currency rule and Keith should have gotten the product.. I mean which online calculator would be used for euros anyway? that's why there was a bidding currency...Paul's bid should be invalidated, but i know that won't happen, cause the auctioneer will take the higher amount.

Guys: as I previously posted the ONLY reason I bid in Euros was because the previous bid was in Euros too. When I bid 57€, the previous bid was clearly written as "50€" which I found odd, but I went through a currency exchange site to establish what the exchange was and bid accordingly. If anyone's at "fault" here, it would be Luftrum for accepting the bid in Euros in the first place. At the beginning of the auction, when the thread was split by a moderator, the first bid for this bundle was stated in Euro's:

baconpriest : "I bid € 40 for the patchpool alchemistry bundle."

Every bid after that was in Euro's too. So if there was a currency rule, then it was broken at the very beginning of this auction and sustained for this particular item. The fact that every other bid for this item was in Euro, indicates that bidders were aware of this "exception".

Note that the Patchpool listing on the first page of this thread has all prices both retail and minimum listed in Euros. Perhaps the problem started there. All the prices on Patchpool's site are in Euros too. Not dollars, Yen, Shekel or potatoes. ;)

I rest my case... I hope!

I only speak for myself but I'm sure others may feel this way: it would be charitable of us to give you all the time you need. You have done much for a good cause and I thank you for it. No stress!

Maybe I should actually start offering all my products in all global currencies and add 178 paypal buttons to each product plus some more exotic currencies like potatoes and other payments in kinds.

What I can offer is that the second bidder who lost the auction because he bid 62 USD gets the Alchemistry Bundle for exactly that price - just contact me via patchpool and we'll sort it out.

Somebody (paulbreeze) already bid 57 Euros which is 74 USD today - folks, please only bid in US dollars, not Euro, Yen, Shekel or potatoes.
Bah I saw the 57 and thought it was dollars so added 57 + 5 and bid 62 as per the rules. Feel a bit done out of it. No worries cant be helped.
See my post above...

@TheoM: it wasn't me, it was Breeze who bidded for this product

At the very beginning we had a case where my 60 USD were outbid by 85 USD (65 EUR).

After this we discussed that it would be best to use only one currency (USD) and settled so:

Bidding rule update: To avoid one big mixed bowl of different currencies and to simplify things, all bids must be made in USD from now on.
:tu: Nice gesture from you Simon! :tu:

That is OK, I am not too concerned about this. It is for charity after all and your bid gives more money so that is fine.

...and generosity does it again! Thanks, Simon :)

In the end, I feel the real charity in this auction has come from the Devs.
