I would like to suggest improving the variation of the "Note Range Limit" track. This is a great variation that I use a lot. There are now two options for out-of-range notes: transposition and remove. I would suggest adding a shift of out-of-range notes not by an octave, but to the place of the nearest scale notes or chords. This would allow us to quickly create chords with narrow voices and other chord tricks (such as cluster chord views), for example. Thank you . PS By the way, I was always interested in why this variation is not in the phrase inspector? )

Attila Would you be able to ad a voice randomize button so we could just hit it and get variation of voices of the chord as it a bit tedious doing it this way .

May I have a question? I don't understand the possible advantages of mapping notes to the nearest chord or scale note. Important chord notes will be omitted, and sometimes new chord notes are created:



This becomes worse when scale notes are collected at the edges of the note range. Did I misunderstand something?

That why I suggested voice randomize button in a set scale as that gives you more options.

So if am right lulukom wants to move notes closer and am saying on top of that should be a options to shuffle in between voices in a set scale .

The voicing of a chord makes a big different.

Attila, I will try to explain this. I often use chords in a narrow position, i.e. chords that contain the notes of the chord itself and the notes of the scale that is used in conjunction with that chord. To change the original chords into chords in narrow voices, I often use the Note Range Limit Variation as a compressor, pressing the notes up and down. And everything would work fine, but transposition does not compress the voices in pitch, but transfers some notes by an octave. Therefore, I would like to see such an option with the choice 1. Transpose to the nearest notes of the chord 2. Transpose to the nearest notes of the scale 3. Transpose to any nearest relative notes 4. Transpose by an octave. For an example (slightly inaccurate), two pictures. Thanks.

And I also propose to make it possible in the Master track to drag chords with the pressed button (Ctrl ?) to different places and swap places among themselves by dragging. The same applies to scales. And add option-click to split / joint SCALES. Thanks.

I'm lovin' the new 'Regenerate All Selected Phrases At The End Of The Loop' feature. It is working well here so far, and really hitting the spot for generating random ear-training and sight-singing drills!

This is a great feature as it also allows you to "audition" clips. I was wondering if anyone else would find it useful to have an extra option on the phrase Harmonize tab that was "reharmonize on regeneratioin"?

Not mentioned in the new beta as well, is the ability to select all phrases and then lock the voicing.. (the phrase lock icon) But, for this version, only in windows..

I could implement a better working phrase generator which is a mixture of Markov and the 'Slice Phrase' variation with 'learn' functionality. I think you want to hear peculiar sequences from the MIDI file, 4-6 notes, for example, but there is a small chance that Markov will re-create that sequence.

Does anyone know how to select multiple phrases on different tracks in RC?

I want to do this so I can regenerate phrases in a loop, but they are on two separate tracks 1 is polyphonic and the other a melody.

I can do it by going into the composite track and selecting the phrases with Ctrl+click but that feels more like a workaround and if you try to harmonize with phrases selected on different tracks, it crashes RC.
