@bob:i can't get the soundhole to save midi,i get that windows error 'this isn't a 64bit thing',same as GoMinimal,i've set admin permissions, have you had any luck?

Post

oh yes, but only tried it in xp at the moment. And it's pretty good. I'll let you know if i get it going in Win7. Try it later today. Cheers s'dad.

nice one bob.

Well I'll be darned. Yep same trouble with Soundhole on Win7, though you can save the wave file but it does need to be converted to midi to extract the useful part. So I went back to XP to use it as I forgot to load Amazing Midi and also forgot about FLStudios Edison.

So back in XP, Save as midi and open as 16 channel in FLStudio or save as wav file and and convert in Amazing Midi or FLs own Edison and open as a single channel. The best part of it is that everything comes out sounding similar to the piano parts found on Alladin Sane. Some sort of algorithms at work.

thanks for trying, gominimal don't work either.shame.win7 is good for most things but it sucks at older progs.

I just found out Benedict's stuff went freeware a year ago.

Unfortunately, I wasn't paying much attention to the music scene at that moment, and missed it until just now.

Any idea if they are mirrored anywhere? I always wanted to try his HeliosVox (I went to his webpage to consider ordering II, which led me to a dead end, which led me to learn that they went free.)

Hi Asuyuka,
he recently posted here; http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=320010.
Perhaps pm him asking about the situation as his signature still mentions the collection.

Thanks, PMed. He has some really amazing stuff, and I haven't had the money til now. Bad bad job market means a lot of time staying home with parents. :?

I got a response back. He says his site got hacked, and he "jettisoned the whole thing."

He did give the okay to ask around for them, citing them as abandonware. I'm on mobile, so I'll report the pm if anyone wants.
