People who crack or use pirated music production software suck. Period. I don't even deveop music production software and just reading Reason's story made my blood boil. I work hard and sacrifice a lot in other areas of my life to afford the software I use. I do this not only because it's the moral, legal, right, and honorable thing to do, but also because I want to be proud of the music I make and the sacrifices I make to support my craft is part of it. People who use cracked software are taking a short-cut, they are not paying their dues (literally!) and no matter what they might think, their work is the worse for it. They're jack-offs. Pure and simple.

We did indeed fix a few issues with the mouse disappearing in the R4 release, and if it's still giving you an issue, please do report it so that we can take a look again. My apologies to you if it is still giving you the same issue, it was not intended to leave any bugs at all!sunny_j wrote:so now, the new rtas version is out aswell, and STILL no fix for the mouse bug?? how long does it take to solve such an issue?? i was expecting it to be fixed by now really!!

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I use sat mode 1 on almost everything. 2+3 are better for melodic material tho..scalawag wrote:The 1st Saturation is something wonderfull!!

The installed MixControl.exe got quarantined by my virus scanner today. I installed the latest version from the website, but the same happened again.

I could be wrong but it's probably a false positive. I say this because I hear people talking about that here and other forums all the time (though not this specific product)

I have pretty robust viral protection and didn't receive any warnings. Suspect it is a false positive.
I'm currently using MixControl on an ethnic/electronic album and I am liking it very much.

Yeah, the EXE version throws a flag for some reason. I would assume because the standalone version is essentially a DLL wrapped in an EXE and the virus software sees it as a backdoor of some sort. I'm not getting any negative reading here through AVAST Pro, and the other computers have ESET or whatever it's called and they run without issue.ToastedSoul wrote:The installed MixControl.exe got quarantined by my virus scanner today. Well, the standalone version isn't actually "wrapped" in anything, it is a fully standalone licensing version of the plug-in. If it's coming up as a warning, please do report the file to your respective antivirus software manufacturer so that it can be removed from their warning listcontrary wrote:rlahalla wrote: Yeah, the EXE version throws a flag for some reason. And as an aside, I've been tasked with researching the possibilities of doing a group buy of some sort for MixControl Pro. Before anyone decides to jump on me, the possibility has arisen because only an extraordinarily small amount of purchases have been made since it's release, and the available 'illegal' versions have been more and more abundant than ever before (21,000 downloads on one site). It's apparent that we cannot continue to remove the illegal links. If we do indeed decide to hold a group buy, we will make this known on the product page long before we hold the sale, so that those who are interested will not lose out. We will also include those who have purchased since it's release in the group buy so that they can benefit as well. I personally feel that it's a darn shame that so much work went into revamping this software, and there are so many who would just freely take it as their own without even a second thought. A big thanks to those who actually purchased/won a license, and as well to those who have been a constant support and source of encouragement.

I have been using sections of the plugin a lot in isolation recently, I'm starting to think that a Mix Control Suite could do some serious sales too you knowDNR Collaborative wrote:I personally feel that it's a darn shame that so much work went into revamping this software, and there are so many who would just freely take it as their own without even a second thought. Each section as its own plugin
Worth thinking about anyway

Thanks for your support, we are looking into all possibilities currently, but I cannot say fur sure what the outcome will be. If indeed a group buy is held, I fear that the required amount of participants would likely be very high and unlikely to succeed without maximum group participation. I'll post more information if indeed a group buy is organized.scalawag wrote:Keep your eyes on the future.
A great product should have a bright future.
Group buy could be a good idea.
We had already started working on organizing a "suite" of individual plug-ins, but have since halted on those plans due to a lack of interest. I could see it being resumed if a group buy were successful, but again, it would all come down to group participation and spreading the word. I'll make sure to post more information as I receive itgpunk wrote:I have been using sections of the plugin a lot in isolation recently, I'm starting to think that a Mix Control Suite could do some serious sales too you know
