Hm, indeed some impressive results. I mean, yeah, I'm allready working on a dual 2x2 along with some Hammerfall DSP in the local conservatory studio, so I somewhat know what it feels like to almost never run out of CPU power... still, there seems to be quite another step forward with Logic 7 (we're using 6.x on the university machines).

Guess it's indeed time to save up for a G5, regardless of the Intel switch.

I man, really, I don't think anyone could do that, with ANY pc, on any windows platform software, certainly not Tracktion, Cubase, EXT, Chainer, Fruity...which are the ones i've tried. maybe on logic 5.5.1 :hihi: if there were windows drivers that went that low in latency to begin with.

seven instances of Ambience here in Tracktion at 64samples using the Asio4all driver (64samples is the lowest setting) with no crackles and no dropouts... - just about the same as with 512samples ;-) :-D

No OMF support. It's supposed to be there, but it simply doesn't work in 5.5.1 (it even doesn't in 6.x, at least not properly).
That's odd Sascha. I transfered all my songs using OMF when I changed from Logic to Samplitude earlier this year (using EDL Convert to convert OMF to Samp EDL). I seemed to work fine .
