- Set a filter to 'Warm' --> 'HiShelf'
- Adjust gain up or down
- Select 'Complementary'
- POOF! Things go wacky

I've been able to reproduce this consistently on two different computers.
I think, that i have fixed a similar bug in 'Electri-Q', the commercial posihfopit.
The run for visa takes too much energy, so that i most probably won't do an update of the posihfopit within the next month. I've focused more on the linear phase add-on for 'Electri-Q', which will be available as 'Electri-Q "LP"' (mhh, LP like 'Latin Percussion', my favorite conga manufacturer).
But i will keep this in mind...

No worries, just letting you know.

I know you have a lot going on & I (as well as many others on the forum) appreciate all the time you put into this kick ass plug.

Thanks.

Again:
Thanks for the best freeware EQplugin...

Strange problem with Posihfopit on my machine:
Have installed the most recent version of the plugin;
Everything works fine in Audiomulch (the right-click-menu works, I can change skins, etc.).
When I try to load the same plugin in Tracktion 1.6 NFR (after a plugin rescan),
it looks & behaves like one of the first Posihfopit versions I tried:
"Hold [Alt] for Q change" is written in the upper left corner;
right-click-menu only gives me the choice
between RBJ & Orfanidis and the possibility to reset;
No skin change, no Autofilter, no...

Does this have something to do with registry settings or special Tracktion user settings ?

I tried various things to solve this problem:
uninstallation of the plug, complete erase of its registry entries (hopefully), reboot,
complete plugin scan in Tracktion, re-installation and again complete plugin scan in Tracktion.
Nothing helped!

Any ideas?

Cheers,
tl.

It is an very old version. Maybe there is some other dll lieing in one of the subdirectories...

Christian

P.S.: If Tracktion detects this old one before the new one the second one is ignored, i think...

:dog:

You're right: old dll in subdir.
Deleted -> everything's o.k.

Thanks.

By the way, what exactly does 'Run as VST-Shell' mean?
What's a VST-Shell?

And another one:
Could you give some info on the 'screaming' mode?
More 'transistor based distortion'?

Cheers,
tl.

One DLL more than one plugins. It was requested by WAVES. That's why in Steinberg Hosts the plugin will show up as WAVES Plugin...[/quote]

Nonlinear artefacts of transistor based filtering are gained. This way the EQ may distore the signal.

Call me stupid, but - to be honest - I don't see the reason for the 'Run as VST-Shell' mode concerning Posihfopit. What's the benefit?

There is none anymore. That's why it will be eliminated in the next versions, but right now i don't have much time for that.

Hi christian, I just dowloaded last posihfopit version, and I have some trouble with changing band type: in energyXT or ableton, right click doesn't work properly, ctrl+click has a strange behaviour, and the popup menu, when it appears, seem not to work at all. I don't know if it's a limitation of posihfopit or if it's a new bug.

what he said...except in sonar 4

Post

using it in ableton live it does seem to work differently now.
I have to right click & hold to bring up the pop up menu to change filter types or shift & right click to change them 'on the fly' as it were, I don't mind it now i'm used to it.

Post

the point is mouse usage does not reflect what's in the manual.

Post

True, I reckon Mr Budde will sort it out when he's got time.
I'm just so pleased to have this for free that I can certainly wait.

Post

the popu up don't even work here, when it pop up, it does nothing whatever eq type I select.

Post

weird, even when u select, for instance a notch filter?
works okay for me.
wait up - presets don't load?
Oh yeah it's a bit buggered isn't it - back to the previous version (which I had luckily saved) for me.
