I finally succeed (I think!) to export a not so bad sf2 of your kit using VSampler. I had to tweak a little bit the envelopes to set the release and the sustain correctly and now, it sounds ok (not as clear as the 24 bit Halion version though).
If you allows me, I can upload this sf2 somewhere.
yes you can, remember to add the readme file licence bla bla... and also add my disclaimer when you post any patch please... :)

Yes, and those toms (all of them) are sweet!

Salvador:

I just downloaded the kits. Thank you very much for your generous gift! I will most certainly put these to good use.

Ok. I uploaded the sf2 version I made on Audioshots. You'll find it at : http://www.audioshots.com/auditorium/vi ... 0038#20038

(please note that I post in the wrong thread, the one about the GSCW demo kit...

Thanks again to Giro for the kit and Peter for the hosting.

Hey Patrice:

I just brought the kits into VSampler 3.51 and didn't see any problems, although I haven't checked each and every sample. It appears to have converted without a hitch.

BTW if anyone wants this mapping, let me know.

They sound great Salvador!

Thanks.

It is ok when I load it in VSampler but when exporting, the sf2 have the hold and release too short so I must keep the keys depressed to hear the samples until they end.

Maybe it is because I have VSampler 3.5 and not 3.51 (I didn't make the change seeing the troubles of some peoples with 3.51 on the Maz forums).

I guess I'll be doing sfz mappings tomorrow... ;-) Unless someone's already done them. EXSC is a good starting point but I end up fixing the mappings up by hand anyway. (I've not even heard this kit yet -- I'm just a drumkit addict ;-) )

pljones, I tried with EXSC but I ended with a sfz file with a really, really low volume and all the elements of the kits mapped to something like 2 or 3 octaves lower... and in no specific order (not corresponding to the original map).

There's definitely a problem of conversion in EXSC with sfz because it's not the first time I have troubles exporting to that format.

How comes the SF2 files are so small?

Salvador, I have a request, and I'm sure all Kontakt and Battery users will be eternally happy.
The problem with both Kontakt and Battery not loading the kit seems to be the ampersands ('&') you've been using.
Now, I allready removed them from the patch and folder names, but the patch still refers to your originally used folder structure, so Kontakt and Battery won't load them.
And while I know that this is a problem of the two, I'd be very happy if you could resave your patches.
All you'd have to do is to temporarily remove all '&'s in your patch and folder names, then reload the kits (forcing them to find the samples in the renamed folders) and resave the kit (again without '&'s).
As said, you could do that on a temporary copy, no need to mess up your own folder structure.

Would be totally cool if you could repost such a patch.
