Thanks for the positive responses.
If it sounds any good, it's only because I had a lot of good stuff to work with. I did use Live 5 to string it all together. I also used Digital Performer to clean up any DC offsets. There's a ton of efx including various mda, EAS, DestroyFX, Pluggo, and Live's built-in processors.
Handy Chart for Sample Spotters
dburgen's was frozen because I had a particular effect that didn't seem to want to automate like it should on standard mixdown. (It was the manual regen parameter for Pluggo Jet.) A few loops were reprocessed with samplers or other instruments: blortblort was divided into 4 samples and imported into Camel5000 and became the weird bell-pad LFO patch you hear drifting in and out; one of rachmiel's loops was truncated and imported into Live's Simpler to become a kind of urgent syncopated ping; and I reused one of the Impulse kits I built for my loops. Many of the rest were radically cut, filtered or EQ'd to blend in. Not everybody got equal time but I think they all add something to the mix.
I really wasn't sure how it would go over - what with me sticking to the same boring tempo and not getting all medieval on all the loops, but I'm just not as avant garde as I used to be. There are a few breakpoints that I wish were punchier, but I was pretty happy with the overall groove. Drumming with a mouse is so different than sticks and skins.
I thought of doing a minimalist version - maybe an iteration of this (perhaps I'll remember the pirates for that ) and call it "Continental Breakfest."

...But I actually have to do "real" work in the meantime... Clients are so demanding. they give you a little money and expect something in return immediately.
Besides, I want to hear what you all come up with.
