The point of the TDM system isn't that it somehow would sound better. It is that you offload a lot of very CPU intensive tasks on the DSP cards.warren wrote:I've never even seen ProTools.
Alls I know is that, listening to those sample clips, there's no way in hell you could ever justify to me that drastic difference in price. You'd have to be mental to pay thousands extra for that. Either that or you just have too much disposable income.

Edit: To clarify, as to WHY they are more expensive, Waves probably think that TDM owners has more money.
