Sorry, I was buying milk (no, really).
I'm on Windows XP SP2
AMD XP 3000+
ASUS something or other mobo
1GB RAM
Delta 66 Soundcard
Hope that helps. Anyway, I'm sure you'll get it sorted it soon.

Okay. I think we found the solution. We switched dev environments right before starting this plugin, and our new environment may require different runtime libraries than the old one. For those of you having troubles, go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Download and install the new C++ runtimes from Microsoft, and let me know if that solves the problem. If it does, we'll roll the new runtimes in to the installer like we always have in the past.

Whew.
As I was saying, EVERY thing that can go wrong with this plug has. So, for now, grab that runtime if you're having a problem. We'll bake it in to the next installer.

BTW Chris, I just spent the last 15 minutes running this plug-in on vocals and going through the presets and just tweaking from there, and...Wow! This is the most fun I've had with audio in years. I feel like I just discovered VST again.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

----You may have heard these effects before, but not quite like this plug-in does them together. This is boutique goodness that you don't have to bid an arm and a leg for on Ebay

i tried it on the NIN vocals from the Ableton sessions. I'm skiving at work just now so I cant post at the moment. Basically I just set it up so that the mix was 50/50 athen adjusted to fit, and tuned +2 on one side and -4 on the other, no other settings were used. Admittedly, this is very subtle use of the plug but it made the vocals very silky and fit into the mix better. Also tried it on a guitar track (Fender, clean) and it was excellent sounding, very lush.

Chris,
The c++ redistributable package won't install unless Windows Installer 3.x is installed (it returns an error saying that a required dll for the installation was not present). I think WI 3.0 was included as part of xp sp2, but anyone still on sp1 will need to get the upgrade first.

if you have sp2 installed and maybe the runtimes linked up there somewhere, then yes!
i have sp2 installed and got the runtimes from the link and everything went smoothly then.

All I can say as a current Discord 1.5 user...Discord 2 is a piece of musical excellence and does lovely things to audio....congratulations on getting the bastard! out the door...it is called Discord after all and it truly lived up to its name.
(it's all in the blog)
I have my virtual birtch at hand to keep it from any further missbehaviour.
Great stuff and well worthy of the wait.
