hey Aleksey...don't know if it's been mentioned here already, but on Live 5.2.1 (PC Version)...I'm not seeing any drop-down menus (or dialog box) for Presets, Routing, About. In other words...as in the latest screenshot on your first post - I cannot make that Routing box pop up or the other stuff. Rather! when I DO click any of those....it's causing some kind of Re-Draw function to go bad and the sliders freeze (really the whole GUI freezes) and if you try to move the plugin around it leaves portions of it on the screen. Closing the plugin and re-opening it brings it back to normal (meaning just close the GUI..not remove it altogether).

I ran this plugin in my usual plugin test bed and did not notice any real issues as far as CPU usage, clicks, or freezes etc. Any hit to my machine was negligible. Maybe 1 or 2 percent. P4 3.06 gHZ HT; 2GB PC3200 DDR; Host - VSTHost; Driver - Novation X-Station ASIO driver latest rev.

Please update to Live 5.2.2 - they have fixed this problem (it was not plug-in's problem).

Thanks. That's a tough problem it seems (looks very similar to Live 5.2.1, but they've fixed it from their side). I have an old WaveLab5 demo - plug-in shows OK there. I'll see what I can do. I also cannot fully re-use code from old plug-in projects, so I'll have to find a solution somehow.

It is easily expandable to ANY number... I will be waiting for requests. But 8 seems quite adequate. 12 seems to be a maximum (according to VST spec) - but even that is very rarely used as far as I understand.
I agree that we are rather few people who need more channels, and I know that it would be a very small market for a developper !

But 12 channels is already well supported by Nuendo and Digital Performer (if you make Mac versions) and perhaps Sequoia also, without forgoten PODIUM of course and all the modular hosts like Bidule...
If it is only a matter of a code line with an option in a menu, why not ?

I didn't thought that the VST specs have a 12 channel limit ???
32 channel VST are working fine
12 is very nice to my needs at least
A very short instant I have thought that you were another "multiphonist" !
But, no, deception... :(

I mean, VST defines speaker arrangement constants for up to 10.2 surround.

Right now I do not plan to release any mixer-like plug-ins which may indeed require 32 IO channels with ease. That is why I add 8 channels only - with the idea they will be used for true surround production, not just for free-way routing.

I have tested it in Wavelab 5 and works perfect.

Speaking of the sound, I guess it is the best equalizer Voxengo released so far. It is not subtle or transparent like many of the Voxengo plugins. It has a soul...Totally MUSICAL.

Thanks Aleksey.

OK Aleksey...sure enough, it's working as it should now in LIVE 5.2.2.

Want to say "Thanks!" as well and as everyone else said....great job on the interface!

Double checked here and there are no problems with this in Live 6.0 (b13) either.

Also I confirm that on my system those Sonar 5.2 problems are both solved too - thanks for that!

Now that's a musical EQ! Love the way it makes things sound fuller. Great for abusing sounds with extreme boosts as well. And the new GUI is really classy too, can't wait to see other Voxengo plugs in these new clothes. Good work Aleksey and Vladimir, thanks for releasing it for free.

Haven't found any bugs/incompatibilities, but I have one small GUI request (sorry if it's been mentioned, I didn't read the whole thread): can you please lock the slider dragging to one slider at a time? Currently, when dragging one slider and moving out of its horizontal GUI space, the next slider gets affected which has caused me plenty of unintentional changes. The current behaviour may be useful at times/for some as well so it would be nice to keep it available eg. with a modifier key (or right-click drag), but by default, I think dragging should be locked to one slider at a time.

No problems in Wavelab6 here.

Thanks.

I guess it's either Wavelab 3, or Windows 98 causing the problem.

I guess it's time to overhaul everything.

Thanks Again.

OMNIFEX, I'm pretty sure it can be because of Windows 98, because we are not testing the plug-in under Win98. According to Voxengo.com website statistics, only 3.5% use Win98 (of all Windows versions) to visit the website. So, I guess it may not worth the additional hassle. However, at some point I may install Win98 on some computer just for debugging reasons - but do not count on that, please, because we do use some Windows NT/XP-only API features.

I'll plan to fix this behavior. I'll probably use right mouse button for free-form movements. Shift, ctrl and alt buttons will be used for various synchronizations. Double click is (as was always with Voxengo plug-ins) 'reset to default state'.
