totaly agree with this , and there could have been more donators , the price money freezed 2weeks before the end of the contest !
Over $2000 isn't enough?

Sure, more is always nice but ffs...
this is why you didn't donate ?

Since we put out BizuneVST(freeware), it has seen thousands of downloads a month for two years straight.
I can count the number of thank-you emails that have poured in on one hand. Mostly cool Japanese people who sent us music they made with it. In fact I can remember all of their names. We do get quite a few people who recognize our band on myspace and drop a nice comment about the synths, but that seems more like accidental randomness than true gratitude.
NOTE TO FREEWARE USERS- Us devs really do appreciate and remember the Thank-You's.

its not about it being personal, urs is indeed a friend of mine, but had it been a developer id never heard of who had won i would still feel as strongly about this.
the fact that you disagree with the outcome is fine, my votes dont reflect the winners either, the point is your sig brings down the whole mood of the competition, a couple of the devs have already explained in your other thread, its not just urs that this kind of behaviour is upsetting.
these sigs are seen all over the forum as im sure you know, so 1500 times over youre disrespecting urs win and therefore the whole comp, wonder how many devs might ignore it next year in case they win and someone disagrees...

I like oneping only (some more I like mjharmonic onepingonly, but anyway).
my votes were also some different (tonespace, grizzly, lunchbox, collide and play, triple cheese), but your (vonbruckens) rants are in fact inappropriate. There were rules and a fair voting. I also not always share the opinion of the majority, but thats life: millions of flies couldn't be wrong :) (this proverb certainly is not to be applied to any of the DC entries)

I think, the results were slighly different, if anybody had only 3 plugs to rank. I don't think that my 5th place is only a fifth time worth my first place vote. Or they should have given anybody 5 points to distribute between any number of plugs. They might consider this vfor the next challenge.

my choice for #1 was triple cheese. i changed my ranking for 2-5 so many times by the time i voted that i dont remember what the final ranking was. but on that list was fire, ritual, collide and play, and drum mic positioner.

Post

Here were my votes:

Lunchbox
Pondular
Collide & Play
Cubix
Grizzly

Really I could use none of the DC plugs in my styles of classical and ambient. So I decided to reward innovation even though the innovative ones were grossly flawed.

I would also like to mention Choralzoid, Triple Cheese and Anna, which were on my list until the last minute.

Not only did I vote but I donated too. I hope there will be a contest next year. The month before Halloweed seems perfect.
