Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make the deadline (AGAIN!). I'm too swamped with university and work and some other stuff to be able to invest the necessary time.

i shall also henceforth confirm my unofficial joining for this contest!
i missed out last year (and almost missed out this one prematurely!) but now i'm in full effect. i've no delusions that i'm going to win or anything, but i'm confident i can give something new and different

..Hi tuz..
I was working on something and set myself a deadline for september and THEN I found out about the developer challenge!..
Im not a developer by any means but my plug might be useful to some so I will add it as an entry anyway just for fun..
I intended to release it to the public anyway so might as well..

I see a lot of nice Windows only entrees in last year's contest. Wouldn't it just be nice to create a Windows to OS X VST and vice versa VST-instrument converter? Possible at all?

Very hard, it's more or less what the wine project does on linux and they have been at it for years. You have to implement each api that a plugin could be using, and there are a whole lot of those!tipsch wrote:I see a lot of nice Windows only entrees in last year's contest. Thanks, it's a pitty they don't finally figure out such one standard. (Like OpenType has become for typography).. Anyway, guess it is a bit off-topicKyran wrote:Very hard, it's more or less what the wine project does on linux and they have been at it for years.
