I have hidden and system files viewable all the time because I like to know whats going on with my system. Also, it doesn't change the fact that you have to put any wav files in there that you'd like to use with atlantis. It's a crappy way of doing things, nothing will change that.wikter wrote:Just "hide" it on folder properties.
No need to see that.

True. It would be better if it were like Helix's custom WAV loading method.
ie: On load of VSTi plugin, it looks for the folder hardcode-assigned for user samples, and loads them before the GUI fully loads.

Actually, isn't that the exact same method? The only difference with helix is the user folder needs to be located in the same path as the plugin. Granted that works a little better, but it's still not ideal. I'm not fully aware of the programming involved but I can't imagine it's too hard to implement user definable folders since it's found in software everywhere.MaliceX wrote:True. I'm only posting here really because I've been rocking out with Atlantis filter so much in the past few days. It is incredibly stable in Reaper, which I could never say about my previous DAW program. In fact everything is better with Reaper, for me anyways. But Atlantis rocks out! Thanks again Jeremy!

It has occurred to me that if I hide the folder, how will I be able to unhide it if it's hidden.wikter wrote:

Well, you must enable viewing hidden files, but you also can create a shortcut on synth's folder to open it whenever you need.
Of course, it's not the best solution, but keeps it out of view while a fixed version is released.

Then it wouldn't work for me, because I have all system folders (which are normally hidden) showing. I'll just wait for the fixed version.wikter wrote:eduardo_b wrote:It has occurred to me that if I hide the folder, how will I be able to unhide it if it's hidden.wikter wrote:![]()

?¿
Well, system folder could be kept visible, there are three options in window:
- See system files/folders
- See hidden files
- See files with special extensions (dll/acm/...)
Anyway, just wait.

Don't know if it comes from Atlantis, but in XT2 controller map and direct record automation from gui doesn't work...Everything is working with all others vsti.

And BTW, I'm having no problem recording automation in Reaper. In fact, I've been having big fun setting up so all params in Atlantis are recorded, and btw folks that's a small few hundred params. I can just hit "random all" and every param is recorded. (Just don't record the "random all" buttonethnix73 wrote:Don't know if it comes from Atlantis, but in XT2 controller map and direct record automation from gui doesn't work...Everything is working with all others vsti.

Sorry to dig this thread up to ask a real noob question...
I'm using Atlantis 0.9f in Reaper 2.206 on Window$ XP SP2. I manually installed the presets in the "presets" folder where Atlantis puts stuff in C: My Documents.
Whether opening presets with Reaper's browser or using the "Load" button on the Atlantis GUI, they only can be loaded one at a time (as opposed to pulling up banks). Also, only the preset number shows up, not the preset name. When I navigate to the preset folder with an external browser, Atlantis presets appear by name under their creators' respective subfolders.
It just seems weird 'cause I've never had that problem with patch banks/presets for other VSTs--the plug seems to find them and bring them up in banks by name.
I read the Atlantis manual but didn't find an obvious solution. I don't mind learning how to manually make banks if that's what's necessary--can anyone provide links to a how-to?
Also, frog_jr: I've been trying to figure out how to record all automation parameters in Reaper--can you please explain?
Thanks in advance!

In Minihost from Tobybear, you can gather groups of .fxp files, and convert them to a .fxb bank. Its a free and useful download, or $20 without the 4 second nag-screenWinstontaneous wrote:Sorry to dig this thread up to ask a real noob question...

digging up an old post here but i was playing with atlantis the other night, making a few new patches (with the random button
) and saving them , upon opening them again tho', i found that one of the oscillators kept resetting to the 'noise' waveform even tho in the patch i created it was another waveform, so the patch would load, sounding a little different to how i saved it. Has anyone else experienced this bug?
