Anyway, Daniel's flatly turned it down already. How about inserting your own favourite, lo-cost limiter after it?

Limit+Boost: i too have experienced some bad results with it, but *really* maybe it's mostly the 'psychological' effect of the word "Boost" because you would expect it to ..herm.. you know what?: Boost the signal! Ok Daniel you already wrote it: "Dig a bit deeper", but if you hear an overall reduction, you wouldn't think at it as a boost. Ok, once you (me) learnt this overturned-concept.. I've experienced some great results! (.. or the power of mind?).
All in all this Leveling Amplifier sounds good (imhofcourse): like the usual TbT standard quality.
Still my preferred TbT plugs are 'TubeLimit'&'TLs_Maximizer'. Care to know why? cUz both behave kinda brickwall limiter

Well - I'm no dev. - but I certainly know this idea to be true. I've clipped songs I've done to over 8 db's over digital zero on transients and it still sounds cleaner than using the x-limiter or w-1 from george yohng and any other free or payware limiter/compressor I've tried. Limiters are basically useless in my book. i figured this out largely by mistake - i accidentally took an instance of Antress modern limiter off the master bus on one mix and forgot I hadn't re-enabled it - started the song and i saw the meters jump almost 10 db into the red (master track) and readied myself to hear terrible distortion artifacts and they just never came. I kept playing the track and realized that it actually sounded worse and less loud with the limiter on (I tried comparing to a bunch of different plugs afterwards). I'll never go back.
