John-E34 wrote:I just tried the new version, and am pleased to see the cpu use down to around 12% - as opposed to 35% with the first version. I noted that the cpu rose to 15% when the demo noise was active, so maybe the full version performs slightly better.

The sound is quite good using Opera or Church, but the other options are of little value to me.

An option to totally disable the reverb would be welcomed, as I prefer to use my own effects anyway, and it could also help with cpu performance.

A group-buy may entice me, but I'm a little concerned about the associated problems with Synthedit...

Still, a very nice sounding harmonizer, well done.
Thank you! :D

I will overwork the choir modes soon, especially "church" and "robot" to give them some more "edge" :)

Good idea with the reverb, for now you could simply use Enchoir in an AUX/FX-send and turn the leadvolume down whilst moving the reverb slider all the way to "lead". this way you can use your own reverb(s)!

You mean first 100 people get 50% off?
I'm in.
Yes, sort of! When we reach like 100 users it would be 50% off, when 50 users join, something like 30% off and so on... have to make a scheme for that :)

Concerning the SynthEdit-problems: They *CAN* occur on dualcore setups when using more than one instance at once. If you only use one instance of enchoir there won't be any problem!
Wow...100 users seems a bit high don't you think?
I'm not sure there could be a situation where more than 100 people would want a vocal harmonizer of this kind for $40 (although I'm not sure of course).

consider me in for the 50% discount.

Mhh, that's 28 Euros, i don't think it is that much for such a plugin? :)
I will work on a scheme that satisfies everyone :D

Please update if a new demo is available with some improvements as you've said you'll be working on.
Thanks.

Yes, next on my todo-list is updating some of the "choir-modes" :) Will let you all know when finished! (I also plan to possibly add some more modes)

hmm...since when does it take so long for a plugin to appear in the news-section + database? :?

A word of caution: I'm using Cubase Studio 4.1.2 with Enchoir demo and sometimes when I press 3 or more notes together on my midi keyboard I get a HUGE hiss that is off the chart in volume that decays slowly. I almost became deaf...twice.

Okay, version 1.3 is ready. will send out the links soon and then start a group-buy! :D i added a nice chorus-like vocal doubling, an option to completly disable the built-in reverb if needed, a phrase-mode that can be used to let the choir repeat phrases that you sing in realtime (you can even use harmony-hold in conjunction with that!!), added a choir-style option and new choir-modes... this baby rocks!! :hyper:

I've made a little readme that covers all knobs and buttons of enchoir, hopefully it will answer all your questions :)

Hi,
I used the clean mode. Scoop, blur and blue notes were all the way to the left (turned off). I think the Lead/choir knob was somewhere in the middle or more towards the left.
Is this one of those synthedit thingies that people are moaning about?
p.s. - the new gui is very nice. Did you make a new demo to download?

Proof read the readme file. There are some spelling mistakes.

You may also want to change the GUI and plug-in capabilities on the front page of this thread and on your website.

Ok, thanks for letting me know, i'm still not sure what could've caused this peak... no, problems can only arise when you're using two instances of the same plug-in on dual-core machines. but besides this everything runs fine.

Thank you! :) The v1.3 demo will be ready for download today hopefully.
Yes the little readme has some typos in there, have to fix that also (sorry for this, it was late when i wrote it) :D
