I wonder why gol can't port his plug-ins even now that delphi is 64bit supported. I think that basically means FL Studio will never go 64bit either.
Can we discuss Image-Line Vocodex as it on sale for $49 for a while!

Well even if it introduces latency, if your DAW has PDC then there is no issue

Well, Maxx's plugs are already in beta at x64, which to me indicates that Image Line is aware that they need to do this if they want FLS to be taken seriously in the future.
I really don't think they have much choice in the matter. The marketplace is making that decision for them. They can hold off as long as they want, but eventually, their customers will demand that their programs keep up with technology.

I'm using FL on a 64 bit computer. Latest version supports 64 and 32 bit plugins. Have had no issues running anything. I even tried to crash 64 bit Omnisphere on purpose. Solid as a rock.

me:
will vocodex,il edison x64? blah blah...
il support team:
Gol won't be the developer for the 64bit bridge. He stays focused on the main FL Studio development.
Our other developers are working (on and off) on making the VST plugins (including Vocodex) work well in all hosts, including Cubase x64. For Vocodex, 64bit support is planned to be created by using a built-in bridge.
This built-in bridge is also work in progress on a built-in bridge for those plugins, so they would appear as 64bit.
At this moment there are issues with both, so I don't know when they'll be ready or if the bridged approach will eventually work well enough.
me:
bridging is causing latency but will vocodex x64 introduce more latency in a x64 host beside the regular 169 samples?
il support team:
it's not my fault if people won't believe me but that was written in june 2012.If you are using x64 plugins in your host, and you say that x64 version does not add any latency to x64 plugins, than only the fixed Vocodex latency of 169 samples will stay once there is a 64bit bridge for Vocodex.

SO basically the plugins will not be ported but this "bridge" is being developed.
I find it wierd that other plug-ins written in delphi can be ported yet for some reason the IL ones can't. Maybe something to do with the preset manager.

i'm already using 32 bit Vocodex with a bridge (jBridge) and it sucks. so IL is going to give us 32 bit Vocodex with their bridge (still not x64), but maybe better & more stable. i hope it is

Crap, it looks like the yard sale is done, even thought it's still the 13th here in the West Coast USA.

They missed out on my money as well. After spending the last week trying the demo I was ready to buy the signature bundle and several plugs as well, but found the sale was over. If the sale was not good through the 13th in the U.S., they should have stated that.dusted william wrote:Crap, it looks like the yard sale is done, even thought it's still the 13th here in the West Coast USA.
