Congrats to Mulperi! A deserved winner I think. :tu:

Thanks also to everyone who commented on (and voted for) my entry; always interesting to get comments from fellow musicmakers.

Congratulations Mulperi ... :violin: :band2: :band:    :wheee: :wheee: :hail: :hail:  :hyper: :tu: :tu: :wheee:

And cheers mulperi, Steplton, bwwd, for getting in early to sort out your prizes guys ... makes life so much easier :hihi:

Monopoli, I believe you are next to choose a prize from what is left. I will start contacting the prize donors now to organise collection :)
With 11 entries, 4th place is as low as we can offer prizes ... so better luck next time to everyone else ;)

Monopoli, we normally offer prizes to around one third of the entries. there is a pool of prizes ... see above. the winner gets first pick, and we work our way down the runners up.

So, as you will see from the above, mulperi has chosen ziokillers prize, bwwd has chosen Luftrums prize, so you have a choice of any one of the others in the prize pool :)

There are also participants prizes. Although I have not had the time to add to the participants prize pool, I realise there are many who have contributed to the latest comps who may appreciate a link to the participants prize pool ... and so I will PM everyone as soon as I can to pass on the links. the links will offer access to a collection vst instruments and fx created exclusively for OSC participants, plus 3 e-albums of previous comps. :)

Post

OK, I've PM'd all participants who have not had a link to the participants prize folder in the last 3 comps.
If there is anyone who has participated since OSC 13 who has not recieved a link, then please PM me and I'll sort you out. There is nothing new in the folder since OSC13, but I dont mind giving out the link again to anyone who has previously had it passed on, and perhaps wants to revisit the folder :)

... Oh, and still waiting for Monopoli to choose a prize :)

Grats Mulperi, nice win there!

osc21: CHIMERA
osc22: GTGNR2010
osc23 : Any One Synth (Xmas Special)
Indeed, properly excited about the AOSC already.. :hyper:

But I don't believe we have a backup synth should Chimera prove too unstable?

Post

Oh man, Chimera was such a cantankerous BITCH! I've actually had to render out each track as a WAV and mix in Audition.

Having said that - I don't think there's a VST quite like her, so it really is an excellent (and very unique) choice. I'd love to see a more stable version made of it. It would definitely corner an "organic soundscapes" market.

Yes it's hitting the CPU hard here too. Also the occasional spikes and stutter.

Post

Chimera looks to be a challenge. We're up to it though, right?

In the meanwhile, congrats on this one, Mulperi...

Post

Not up to me, but I assume that should we get serious issues like OSC 14 Anubis where half the field dropped out some alternative might be considered before start.

Post

Does anyone have an idea of how many points the different contestants ended up having? We usually have a list posted but I can understand if no one hava had time to do it. I can't since I suck at anything involving adding up numbers! :hihi:

Post

It's on the OSC website but it's worth having the results copied here for posterity and that.

Yes it's all on the web page, and being Google (both site and spreadsheet scoreboard), I guess the chance of it disappearing in our lifetimes is slim to none.

Sure, the scoreboard spreadsheet will bug by showing a login page sometimes, but that's only temporary and eventually the scoreboard will be shown. I bet that will get better as time goes on too.

Also, the final points will be shown in the mp3 player that's made after a finished OSC, so that's a nice backup system for the final points and placings.

But it's easy to copy paste from the scoreboard to put here as well, so here are the final placings:

Running - Mulperi 107
Deja_Vu_-_Steplton 96
bWWd - Suspense 73
The Future is Digital- Monopoli 69
Strangled by Strings - OSCXIX - Yeager 53
Look Ma, No Ensoniqs_K-Bee 31
Belyrus---mrblitz000 23
24.59pm and all is well - tattiemannie 15
Mary's prayer - vanmorrison 8
respiration - new kids on the block 5
half wasted love_olikana 0
