no, not natively, still a bridge required (recommended: jBridge); but chances are higher that it works since it has a higher GUI update rate than OP-X and OP-X PRO (based on reports it was the GUI that crashed in 64bit hosts in OP-X and OP-X PRO, while audio by itself worked) - check it with the demo version to find out

Regarding crashes in 64-bit hosts: I just upgraded from OP-X Pro to Pro-II. I find Pro-II crashing at roughly the same rate as Pro in Cantabile's 64 bit flavour. As long as you don't touch the GUI it's great, but usually when I open the GUI to edit it, close it, and then re-open it, the GUI refuses to open but the VST still processes midi messages and returns audio, just as other posters have reported.
I wish I could pass it for Massive and Zebra, both of which run rock-solid on my 64 bit setup, but I love some of the presets on OP-X and I'm not talented enough and don't enjoy spending time adjusting presets enough to duplicate them. The sound designers did a really wonderful job. And once it's tweaked right it runs great; just don't open the GUI unnecessarily.

Hi ZombyWoofZombyWoof wrote:There are some first-class sounds in the default bank. I decided to look at the other banks and ran into a problem.
Under Live 8.2, the Load Bank button is not working for me. No dialog appears, and nothing visible happens outside of the button press animation. The Save Bank button does bring up a file dialog pointed to the correct directory.
Is the plugin looking for a specific relative path which may be missing on my system (since I reordered it a bit after installing)?
My plugin is licensed and is showing up as such.
I just tried to recreate the problem you've described, however I was not able to repeat it. For me it works fine. I've downloaded the newset Live 8.2 demo and installed it on a Windows Vista Home Premium system, dragged OP-X PRO-II into the "drop area"; the GUI opens; when I click on the "BANK: LOAD" button the file menu with the banks appears as it should
Can you tell me what exactly you did, what's your OS, and how/where you installed OP-X PRO-II to? Did you copy it manually somehow? And was it the demo or the full version?
For me it works fine in the Live 8.2 demo (as it did in 7) - then it should too in the registered version I hope?

Ah look, I overread this - this must be the reason probably; you should not move the plugin after installation, at least not the dll alone (if then only all contents in the "SonicProjects" folder which "need each other" - however you will also lose the uninstallation path by moving it) - since I can't recreate the issue by myseld in Live 8.2 I guess this must be the reasonZombyWoof wrote:Is the plugin looking for a specific relative path which may be missing on my system (since I reordered it a bit after installing)?

I'm still having problems with OPX PRO II and FLStudio 9 with ASIO drivers. (And am now using admin mode) Not wirking with Novation ASIO drivers nor Alesis ASIO driversand that is when in FLStudio.
With Cantabile Performer, it works with those drivers also.
When using DirectSound, it works in FLStudio. But with ASIO drivers it crashes somehow when loading in wrapper. Strange. Should I be in touch with ImageLine support..?
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate edition 64 bit.
FLstudio 9.1 and also tried 9.6 beta.

I guess the problem must be the wrapper - they don't always work with all plugins - is this some kind of built in wrapper (vst-to-dx or similar)?

No I think it's just FLstudio's own term for the plugin window. Wrapper. The plugin is opened in basic VST format, it should work and old OPX VST version worked with this configuration.

I tried this already, but I tried again to be sure. I uninstalled and then reinstalled. The directories are as installed. No joy. The same problem occurs. I do still have OP-X Pro installed also. Would this possibly cause a conflict?Peter999 wrote:Ah look, I overread this - this must be the reason probably; you should not move the plugin after installation, at least not the dll alone (if then only all contents in the "SonicProjects" folder which "need each other" - however you will also lose the uninstallation path by moving it) - since I can't recreate the issue by myseld in Live 8.2 I guess this must be the reasonZombyWoof wrote:Is the plugin looking for a specific relative path which may be missing on my system (since I reordered it a bit after installing)?

No, not at all; I have installed 100 different versions of OP-X PRO on the same system, Live has no problem with it; if I simply knew how to recreate your issue, I would likely have a look at it, but I simply can't manage
I'm using Live 8.2 (30days demo), Windows Vista home premium, Asio4all drivers; when I launch Live all plugins are listed on the left side (as I know it from 7, everything nearly the same); when I drag OP-X PRO-II into the drop zone on the right the GUI opens, and when I click on the Bank Load button a file menu window is popping up which shows the banks (as it should be) - are you doing it in a different way? what are your exact system specs?
I was not even running it in admin mode, just launched it as installed

My specs and actions are identical. If no one else is having problems, I'll dig a little deeper myself when time permits. I'll let you know if I find anything. I can still open banks from the host, so it's not a big issue. Thanks for checking it on your end.

...and I'll keep trying to recreate it; maybe it's sort of a custom setting you have that's not there by default after a fresh install (as I did) - maybe I'll find something alike

I thought I'd also reply here.
If someone else is having problems with OPX PRO II and FLStudio.
I got it working when I check "Use fixed size buffers" in the wrapper options.

For me it sounds like having to do something with your drivers; buffers always should be fixed size from what I know from asio drivers - otherwise you have latency jitter which is very bad for using VSTis
