How do you try to use it? As send or insert effect?Arson wrote:Nice synth, thanks.
btw. the jx-chorus doesn't seem to be working for me in Live, doesn't output any signal.

A third sounddemo of patches I'd created for the PG-8X:

Like the hardware synth it can sound quite analog and digital.
And it can still produce the bread-and-butter Polysynth-sounds of the 80's.

I would like to offer to make a GUI for your great synth.
Would be in Photoshop.
Let me know if you are interested with the infos I would need; look, feel, size, extra elements / controls, any colour scheme wishes and what you would then need exactly and in which format (transparence etc.) and I will give it a go.
regards
Richard

I have changed from an Athlon XP to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 a bit more than 3 years ago so it was a big step forward at that time. BTW at the time i built that computer with the Athlon XP (from seperate parts) it was more expensive than the one with the Quad Core i bought after it.Kriminal wrote:dear god, there are two of us!martin_l wrote:I am still using an Athlon XP, which does not have SSE2 instructions.
Today it's no problem to find plugins that could give trouble to even a Quad Core CPU like e.g. U-He ACE does.

Once the synth is finished, I will also collect and post some presets contributed by people. So far, I am still planning some changes which might destroy patch-compatibility. Hence, creating patches at the moment, might be a waste of time. I hope that I soon come to a version with the full set of features. From that moment, patches should remain compatible.cevin wrote:Yes. It would be great to share the presets people made. Could everybody post them. Thx
Missing features at the moment are mainly the key-assinment modes, portamento.
Cheers,
Martin

Hi,
it's great to be praised prematurely. Once, I'd made patches for
the hardware JX8P, but all of them I wrote down manually on
paper-datasheets - no sysex - so every patch I must recreate and
save as fxp/fxb, when the final synth is ready. So, Martin you did
a great work and I'm so happy, to lay my hands on your wonderful
creation.
I will make about 10 soundbanks at first (include the sounds, I've made
the demos from). So watch this space.......

Tried out this synth the other day. I love JX and Juno type sounds and this delivers in spades.
Only thing I'd change is the size of the GUI.
