With Amplitube 3.5 it's slightly more than 300 MB per instance in Reaper. This is no good at all so I guess I have to limit my guitar tracks to... 4 per project (yes, without the hassle of freezing etc). Hrmpf. Fancy interfaces though.chrisby wrote:This might be answered elsewhere but... does the new release no longer load everything you own as one big blob for each instance? Seems if I remember right each instance would take about ~250mb of memory. Not such an issue these days for most but back in the day more than a few instances would necessitate a track/freeze and archive in Sonar....
I think the rationale was so you could switch between different models w/o having to wait (which is fair enough) but if that's not how it's being used I wonder if they've allowed for that.

I do hope you will sell little cards with credits, like iTunes does for song downloads.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Flip the Overdrive / Normal switch...Peevy2000 wrote:I was getting a really smooth crunch sound out of the Soldano but as the description in the Custom shop says:
"The Soldano SLO-100 (Super Lead Overdrive) is true icon of high-gain tube distortion tone."
"The SLO-100 uses the finest military grade components and custom designed transformers to put the industry's finest high-gain guitar tone right in your hands."
So I wouldn't really expect much of a clean sound from it, at least not the sim version anyway. I'm really liking it & I'm very tempted so..............................
It would give me a good excuse to buy new picks and strings at Cuitar Genter
Having the amount adjustable at point of sale would be nice, but having just
20, 50 and 100 credits on a card would be flexible enough.
Cheers

so it's okay to uninstall all the previous AmpliTube standalone and plugins, correct?Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote: Users of AmpliTube Fender™, Ampeg® SVX, AmpliTube Metal, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ and AmpliTube 2 Live will be able to use all of their existing gear models in the new AmpliTube 3 FREE version which includes the Custom Shop.

Might be true for you if you already have AT3, but think about someone that is perfectly happy with just a tube screamer and a JCM800. No reason to buy the whole thing anymore. No unnecessary bloat.Hink wrote:Like has been said in the othe thread "if it aint broke" AT3 works for me and is already too bloated for my tastes, I'm not going to add more bloat I probably wont use.
Good luck to IK, but this is not for me
I don't have AT3 yet. But I've demo'd it plenty of times. Plenty of stuff I'd never use. It will be interesting to see how much it will cost to get together a package with everything I want and nothing I don't.

I still don't know where my Fender rack effects are.

@ Brian/IK:
I purchased some gear that included Amplitube Fender LE, which is not
recognized by my X-Gear, I did the whole support ticket dance to no avail,
and its not a huge issue, but if at some point, it is recognized by this new
AT3 venture, it will be in$pirational. I realize you probably would have to
mud wrestle
some 350lb Fender marketing 'lawyer', or offer some bribe
to make any re-negotiation happen...
(The LE has 65 Twin, Metalhead 500, and SuperSonic models, all very useful!)
Cheers

It's only the two rack effects from SE that are still locked. The amps and cabs and pedals are there.

Thanks for posting that... save me some time bothering. I wish I could get around to really getting to know half of what I already own. Woulda been nice though to just have a mode where the shell would load up only what you're actually using at any given time (maybe some sort of static flag when you save a preset). Thanks again...jensa wrote:With Amplitube 3.5 it's slightly more than 300 MB per instance in Reaper. You should keep them installed if you want access to your legacy presets formats. Best thing to do is to resave them all as .at3p, then you shouldn't need the old versions anymore.kcisANDderit wrote:so it's okay to uninstall all the previous AmpliTube standalone and plugins, correct?Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote: Users of AmpliTube Fender™, Ampeg® SVX, AmpliTube Metal, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ and AmpliTube 2 Live will be able to use all of their existing gear models in the new AmpliTube 3 FREE version which includes the Custom Shop.

That's the whole point of AmpliTube Custom Shop, Hink.Hink wrote:there comes a point where you do not need all these models, one good model will do the job.
Buy only the models you want. Instead of spending $400, spend $40 on just the ones that work for you. Hell, the killer JCM 800 and CryBaby models may be all you need, and you get those for free from the start. But the models that you need may not be the same that someone else needs. That's why there are so many different models to choose from, so you can pick exactly the ones that are right for you and your style.
No one said you have to buy every model at the Custom Shop. I think you're looking a gift horse in the mouth here, Hink. What AmpliTube Custom Shop does is opens up maximum choice to you for minimum cost.

I just noticed that some of the pedals are not available. And in the custom shop they appears as not purchased
no problems with that in AT2 or X-Gear:
