That is actually a "feature" of the Windows file chooser dialog.larsalt wrote:A Minor bug: When loading multiple wav files at once the file that is selected last will show up first in the list of loaded samples.
E.g. selecting C1, C2, C3,C4 will show up as C4,C1,C2,C3

Hello
2 things:
First, my audiokollaborator, David, with whom I used the TX16w back in the early nineties has a suggestion for possible improvement. He says:
"One thing I do miss are the sounds the drive used to make. It might not feel the same without the "erk-erk-erk" noise it used to make when it couldn't read a disk any more."
Second, we are both using Reaper4, on win7x64; in his case reaper crashes pretty much as soon as he tries anything. With me, it crashes after some clumsy and repeated attempts to remember how to edit programs.
I could probably send a crash report if someone could tell me where such things are generated...
FL Studio gacked right away, wouldn't even load it.
We are both quite interested in seeing where this goes, though. Sampling is what made me perk up, initially. Well, after "TX16w" of course.

Hi Happy to hear you are interested. Which version did you get crashes with in reaper? And could you describe a little better what you did?Z3R0T0N1N wrote:Hello

New version is out (again). Should improve robustness, at least with malformed waves etc.
Cheers

So far I've only had chance to have a quick play with this but I really love it! A proper creative sampler for playing with sound and not a rompler - great!
I haven't given it a proper test but I haven't found any bugs yet. As far as future development is concerned I'd have to agree that disk streaming seems pointless for this sort of instrument. I'd rather see more sound mangling options - onboard fx, lofi timestretching, simple beatslicing etc. Keep it lofi and low CPU and keep up the good work.

When saving a sample in energyXT the sequencer crashes cold on me. Do you know if i can assist in troubleshooting somehow? i have minimal knowledge of programming though haha !!
Maybe it's easier if you run the demo and see if it happens to you as well
As a very nice person said, it is easy to create a program and group to play back sample. But it is in no way obvious :p
Maybe the init preset should have this done already? That way the user can see how it's done and replicate.
It's scary, but im considering giving up on Maschine as main sampler!

I tried using the demo, which unfortunately does not save, but I could save and load FXP/FXB files fine, which should be fairly similar to the normal "save project" behaviour. Best way to help in tracking it down is if you can reproduce exactly what you do to get it to a state where it crashes (might be hard work on you though). If I can know step by step how to reproduce it I can fix it.Crackbaby wrote:When saving a sample in energyXT the sequencer crashes cold on me. You could also try to save the sampler setup as a txbank (Save bank) inside TX16Wx and see if this also provokes a crash.
Thanks!

Thank you very much, ecallio! I think a lot of people are looking for simpler tools to use nowadays to create sound quickly. This is going to be top-notch when it's really completed.
I know that you wanted to keep this sampler simple as the tx16-typhoon is. But if I could suggest adding effects such as the Yamaha A3000/A4000 that can be used on sample input as well, that would REALLY make this a one of a kind tool. Maybe bot 96 effects of the sort but some of those wacky effects really make sampling super fun to do.
