I was just joking around though :)

Edit: I think it's working now.

But seriously, most confusing synth eva!

This is what Absynth can do...a single patch with 3 Oscillaotrs, 100% pure Absynth in the demo.

Very nice indeed. Yes, Absynth is amazing imo.
Where did that patch come from? Did you develop that one yourself?

Yes that's a patch I made yesterday for my website absynthsounds.com

Excellent! I'll have to check some of the other sounds out there. :)

that's incorrect. What do you think 'uni' stands for?
Where is the option to spread the staged oscillators with unison in the stereofield? Most synth having a option for this ("spread" is often used there).

I hope there is such a option in Absynth but I have not found it, so my question if somebody has an idea.
ok, you may call this a workaround, but here: the oscillators can be placed differently in the stereo field. you could have two or three oscilators with the same basic patch, but use the uni trans differently in them and uni trans and uni trans rand controlled by envelopes. for starters. and you can add the parameter to 'assignment' per macro controllers in 'perform'. your spread is available in the little boxes below the signal path in the interface.
Sorry, old thread, i know. The method you described will waste the oscillators this way. I wish they implemented easier way to make a stereo unison spread.

I still think this is the most confusing synth eva :hihi:

Thing is, there's only so much stuff you can put in a synth. Absynth has a lot of it's own stuff going on, it's not done by the book, and there are plenty of synths that can do stereo unison which you can use instead for that sound.

Yeah, obvious answer, but it's true. It's the same as why Sylenth doesn't have a triple wave folder and PWM - they're not part of it's identity.

You're kidding, right? It's come a fair way since I've been using it... I think I started at V2 and that wasn't that long ago.

Because you are likely about the same age as me . I specifically remember the synth heads all buying into the NI version in 2003 ish. Some of these guys were still in diapers . Anyway, the shame in all this is all it really needs is to be brought up to spec, and it’s likely there will be no way to do that with out a lot of rewrite and change. So, what we are watching is the eventual decay of a true synthesizer classic. It’s sad to watch. Is all. Enjoy it while you can.
