Ok, folks, so for now these improvements have already been done (and will be available in the next update):

1) Default settings can be changed.
2) Right-click on the band button as suggested.
3) Invert gain.
4) Remember settings of the band & autoeq panels - if they are collapsed or not.
5) Of course - the fix with installing comparisons...
6) Highly improved LQ upsampling (for realtime processing).

A few more to go, will let you know... ;)

Wicked , Ibe been after a decent dynamic EQ.
Total no brainer :D

I'd like to register a concurring vote for bmanic's suggestion for the "ability to create a default setup that loads with every new instance of the plugin". IOW, the ability to designate any preset as the new-instance default. Not a critical feature by any means, but anything that makes a complex effect friendlier is good. I sure wish Pro-Q was smart enough to remember that I always enable the same spectral display option every time.

That's just insane man! Yet another reason to support indie developers. :tu:

Very impressed!

Cheers!

i'm considering the MAutoDynamicEQ for 2 reasons: 1) this incredible deal & 2) i am soon moving into a new living space where my music room is going to sound awful. will the AutoEQ in the plugin work well for individual tracks, say, vocals and electric guitar?

Absolutely! The independent developer takes a personal pride in his product that just can't happen in a big company where enhancement requests are weighed against sales projections and competitive features matrices, and improvements are decided by committee.

Could it work (efficiently) as a hum remover, active only when the signal is rather quiet, and bypassed when the signal is loud ?

Post

Here is one more usability suggestion.

Image

Basically what I mean is there should be a small bold red line or something within the metering that shows me where the threshold is. You could even make it a handle that the user could drag. Or it could be a small triangle or dot below the meters but it'd show the exact position of the threshold in relation to the metering. :)

Cheers!

Probably. I haven't tried it yet but this is how I would do it:

Image

1) Find the fundamental frequency of the hum
2) Add harmonics in case the hum is more complex than a sine wave
3) set gain to zero, dynamics to -24dB
4) open the advanced panel, change the transfer function so that when there is no signal/minimal signal the EQ does maximum cutting.
5) now open the bandpass and tune it so that you hear mainly the source you want to preserve (the music / audio recording). Make sure no hum is heard here!

This should theoretically work. It means that when the source is loud in the bandpass sidechain thing the EQ does minimal cutting but as it gets lower in volume MdynEQ starts cutting more and more at the hum frequency.

An offline hum removal process will be way better but the cool thing with the MdynEQ solution above is that it can work in realtime on a live instrument! :D

You can use MdynEQ as a very effective feedback destroyer provided that the system latencies are as low as possible.

Cheers!

Can this do side-chaining in Cubase?
