yes, the 6 options did not work in the Diamond set.synchronizer wrote:I'm only using Diamond at the moment, so from my understanding all I have to do is re-download the TVEC 3 folder and replace the old one (making sure that it has the same name).
EDIT: If you recall, I reported the "missing" staccato sample in the 46 strings instrument in Diamond. I see that you've removed the third option, but now there are only 3 options instead of 6 (one was the non-sampled option). Did you mean to do this? I think that there were 5/6 functioning staccatos, unless two of them were actually the same samples, accidentally assigned twice. Hmmmmmmmm.

Just an idea - I think that it would be better to put the patch updates on a different page from the paid Upgrades / Crossgrades. That would keep things simpler, imo.
Also, please put the date of each patch update in the description so that people can sort out which ones they already have / need to download.

One question though: the page says
That's fair enough, but I don't recall getting a link to a download page. Or did you mean the links in the "Thank you for your purchase" email? (Double-checking that I have not deleted itThese fixes require you to go to your original download page that was provided to you when you purchased the products.

Actually, only 3 functioning staccato styles were available for that particular patch, even though you may have seen other options register on the GUI.synchronizer wrote:I'm only using Diamond at the moment, so from my understanding all I have to do is re-download the TVEC 3 folder and replace the old one (making sure that it has the same name).

The download page was provided to you via email right after you made the purchase. So yes, the "Thank you for your purchase..." page is indeed the one you need to go to.DarkStar wrote:KirkHunter wrote:Here ya go:DarkStar wrote:^^^^

I'm having some difficulty with the "Purge" function in CS2. What I'm hoping to do is to create separate smaller instruments with just for example "8 1st violins Smooth", "4 2nd violins Pizz" and so on. The documentation seems to indicate that this is possible using "Purge". I personally hate using keyswitches as I'm more oriented towards live performance applications using Kontakt instrument banks with program changes from a controller. It should be easy for me to configure this library to my preferred workflow if I can create smaller, individual instrument sets.
When I call up one of the TVEC 3 "Master" instruments the Purge function appears to work as expected. As I select various elements to purge the selection buttons are greyed out and Kontakt's Memory Display value goes down as expected, from 2.17GB all the way down to 159.06 MB for "8 1st Vlns Smooth". However when I go to save the resulting smaller instrument with samples, I keep finding that all 7,325 samples from the full 1st Violin set save as well. This includes the tremelo, pizz and harmonics samples I've just purged. I've gotten the same results with Kontakt 5 on Mac Lion OS and Kontakt 4.23 on OSX 10.68.
Am I doing something wrong here, or is what I'm trying to do not possible?

@ Techeverlasting:
The trick is to save just the patch, without saving the samples again. It'll find its needed samples when you tick "absolute sample paths".
I do it all the time, works like a charm. And another "trick": Load one patch, for example your "8 violins smooth", make all changes in TVEC considering your playing style, volume, reverb, modulation curves, etc. Then save as said above. Now purge your 8 violins and reload, say, 4 violins which now will respond to all your changes the same way as your 8 violins did. Save this patch, then purge the 4 Violins and load the 16 violins..and so on with the other instruments. This hint is for all, who do not yet know how to deal exactly with Kirks "Monster-all articulation"patches..
Because: if you always load these monster patches when you want to make music your coffee consumption will reach new heights, so long is the waiting time when loading theses. The purged-down files on the other hand load in seconds: really nice!
My only wish, as I sent in an email to Kirk and in a PM to edrummist: savable modulation curves, which additionally can me tweaked half-automated. For example: raising the lower volumes proportionally to the lowered high values, i.e. changing that curve with some easy mathematical functions. I tweak them all the time and I find that the sound of the single instruments can be tweaked and changed quite alot when you restrict yourself to certain vibrato levels. But to combine these patches with others i would need better/easier tweakable curves, ideally with save function.

As for save-able mod curves, this will be a HUGE challenge, and might even be too hard to explain it to the end user. But I'm definitely looking into it.

Kirk: would it on the other side be possible to have the modwheel curve window much bigger to be able to "paint smoother and more detailed curves? I also bought LASS LS and they have a window which is a bit higher which makes things much easier.

Kirk;
Are the fixes to the Diamond TVEC 3 just for Brass instruments or are there fixes in there for any other instruments?
I ask because I made some files of my own for strings and I am wondering if I need to redo any of that or if I can just drop the Brass instruments in and leave the rest alone.
