I haven't downloaded the demo yet, so can't answer the bit about the quality. I'll do it shortly and maybe even write a review but if someone wants to charge $160 or whatever it is for a high CPU monster, then it had better be well above average.
Anyway, surely sound quality is mostly dependant on my D/A converters and how they interact with the code. None of my software suppliers can expect a premium charge for the hardware i've paid for.

A few moments with it and you'll realize the CPU use is due to a very high quality sound, not because of a developer tool. If it's done in Synthedit I'd be shocked. Based on what? Have you ever developed a software instrument?Darkest wrote:

You are commenting about one of the most outstanding sound quality synth out there.

My review will be honest, fair and commensurate with it's pricetag.
And as far as I know, Diva is built of purpose coded C++ modules. I don't know about Lush but it's probably the same.
And even then, I think they're over-priced, as is pretty much all music software.
