The problem is Big Fish promoted 4 gigs of loops and samples but that also counts the same samples duplicated in Wav Rex and Apple Aiff format so you don't actually get 4 gigs of different samples. Now that's Shady.
Thats very common with sample packs. Look at the zero-g ones or basically anyone that has multi-formats. If they only list one size, it will be the size of the pack with all formats included
I don't care how common it is....it's still Shady. I don't offer a preset pack of 128 patches then give you 64 for windows and the same 64 for Mac and call it 128.

I don't buy loop packs and the samples I have bought which were mostly drums contained the content as promised. There may be kit presets for various drum plugins but the sample content is there......

But again this is not MF's fault........

This is very common for Multisamples. That's why I prefer it when the download is split into the different file formats. So I can choose only to download WAV or/and REX, and don't have to download 4 GB where half of it is useless for me...

It's slim shady... :hihi:

Boy I'll say it's Slim Shady....I guess I don't buy enough samples to have noticed but it's never happened to me. It borders on fraud in my opinion. Luckily the thumb drive was just a bonus and not a major deciding factor in the purchase. If I had paid it's list price of $79 for three copies of the same loops Musician's Friend and I would be having words...most of the ones coming from me being of the four letter variety.....

@Sparky77:

You have an account at MAGIX don't you? I once wrote them a message, from within their support website (not email but a web form), and I got a human response within hours. Maybe you wrote to a email address that gets rather slow support? Try opening a ticket within their support webpage!

Does anyone know why digital downloads are being mailed to people's houses?

What is the strategy? Is it to get people to sign up? That way they could get people's email, name, and address - for repeat / drip marketing and have a 'repeat' customer?

I checked it, too, and there are (earth) globe icons with the info "Ships Worldwide" on every MF Sonnox plugin page...on the right side... :!:

"As far as boxed vs. digital, I believe our website only looks at the brand of the product, since that is typically what defines where it can ship. I will look into if we may be able to take download orders internationally regardless of brand, as we want to make as much product available internationally as possible. "

So in August back then, that is telling me that downloads were also restricted. Do you understand you guys are unique in this regard.. no one else restricts downloads.. and are really losing alot of international trade? LOTS of lost $$$.. Why don't you question these restrictions that are damaging your business and try to fix it? you are losing sales every day to other stores and you have a huge name around the audio forums so if anyone were to cater WW i would have ASSUMED it would be you! I remember years ago i used to look at your site thinking these guys will surely be international for everything soon.. no progress.. in years!!
Hey Theo,

I made sure to confirm with the team that handles are digital downloads today and they stated that our digital skus are able to be purchased by international customers as long as the payment is submitted properly and there are no issues with the card/payment. I know there was a time when we were first implementing digital downloads on our site where the ability for these to be purchased internationally was unavailable. On my end it is showing these links on several Sonnovox products so this is a mystery to me as well but as stated prior I would be happy to work with you directly if you are interested in purchasing with us again. Regarding the prices you found lower on other sites we have a price match policy for a reason and would be happy to look into any lower price if you were able to provide us the links directly. I honestly do appreciate your feedback and correspondence regarding your experience. I can totally understand your hesitance to even considering purchasing with us again given the problems you have had trying to place an order previously. If you take one thing from my replies I just want you to know we are dedicated to assisting our customers. That really is our bottom line. Thanks again! :D

They request the buyer send them a copy of the order confirmation.
I did this 3 times during the week.

After no response the third time, I wrote asking if there was any
issues, also no answer.
I also emailed them from a different address just to be sure there was
no problem with the email.

On top of this I emailed the shop and support.
The shop contacted me resending the first serial number, not the second.

I had explained the issue was with not receiving the second product,
they did not respond.

Everything that was requested from them has been received several times,
still no product.

At this point legal action is in progress.
Seems that they have some problems with the support teams. I would wait some more days, maybe they get it sorted next week...

I cannot imagine that Magix would INTENTIONALLY defraud customers...

I think the Magix support system has issues.
Frankly its lacks responsibility.

Orders should not take a week or more to get completed.

The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.

I have purchased many of the Magix products and despite having problems
before, this time is grossly irresponsible.
wow..ok let us know how you get along.. Magix have not answered a single one of my emails, so right now i am not really thinking samplitude is an option even if i switch to windows. I want support not ignorance. disappointed.
I have heard several reports of very slow support.
I have even heard that support was unaware of specials in the past which
was problematic.

My experience has always been slow support but calling their US support
line and finding it disconnected was a bit disturbing.

They need to honer their offer, the world is watching.

Yes, I do have an account and have emailed the support department, sales
and the email for processing the specials.
SEVERAL emails have been sent threw out the week.

Oddly, the issue has not been dealt with.
They have to know there is an issue but if they don't its speaks poorly
of their support.

I am in the same boat here (for now, hopefully). I confirmed with both US and DE Magix that if I bought the Vintage Effects Suite, I could get Vandal for free. After this, I purchased the Vintage Effects Suite on Thursday morning, promptly sent the e-mail with my license informations (as required by the offer) to samplitude@magix.com - with plenty of time to spare before the end of the day in Germany - and still have not heard one word from them about Vandal. I re-sent the e-mail the next day (Friday), as well. It shouldn't take 3 days (or more) to get a return e-mail with license info for Vandal. I am assuming they will honor this deal, but what a PITA, not to mention the stress of wondering if you will ever hear from them again or have just paid to have a fight on your hands.

Thanks for informing us of your experience.

In the past they made the error of doing a special like this.
Unfortunately, the support staff was not told.

Because of this. they were not completing the special they offered.

I have already heard back from support, whom seemed unresponsive and did
NOT add the additional product.

Seems they are again confused and not completing orders.

On Monday, it will be 6 days since I sent them my order, still no product?
