The audio, midi or both?

Post

Hey. I think about getting the iConnectMIDI 2+
It's possible to run audio from PC to iPad and then back to PC , for example with SB Turnado or any FX/Audiobus app ?

Post

Yep.
Actually, you HAVE to send it back to the PC in that scenario to be able to hear it, because if you use audiopass thru on the iConnect, it disables the audio out of the iPad.

Nice.
So what kind of latency it have when using iPad as EFFECT device ?
Could someone make a short youtube video to show that feature ?

I actually just made a tutorial for integrating my effects apps Echo Pad, Swoopster and Stereo Designer in Ableton and Logic using the iConnectMidi interfaces with Audio passThru. Latency depends on how you configure your setup, check the video.

Use iPad effects in Ableton and Logic

Am I correct that this can only host 1 iOS device ?

Had I known this thread was running, I would have posted this here (in the hope of getting this solved):

Please let me know if you find copying/pasting my post here to be more convenient, as I don't want to incur any wrath by doing so without your approval! :)

Sure, doesn't it always? But what sort of latency can people expect? Best case scenario?

Post

OK I have mine now - so far for playing instruments I'm getting negligible latency using audio pass thru. Not tried running computer plugins through iPad effects yet as I'm not clear how to do that in terms of routing.
