I don't mind the current livery style on the synths but I really would welcome a spash of different colour.

At Facebook another 3D render of the GUI was posted:

In the same post they mentioned that the factory library will contain 1040 presets. Many of those presets are amazing IMO.

The GUI remembers me a bit like a combination of Electrax and Saurus
Somebody knows the planned release date?

GUI is even more reminiscent of RayBlaster I think.4damind wrote:The GUI remembers me a bit like a combination of Electrax and SaurusSomebody knows the planned release date?
The release date is unconfirmed at this time but I believe somewhere in December (most likely early December if I had to take a guess

Agree with Rayblaster but there are some changes in the GUI with Nemesis.GeorgeZ wrote:GUI is even more reminiscent of RayBlaster I think.4damind wrote:The GUI remembers me a bit like a combination of Electrax and SaurusSomebody knows the planned release date?

I am currently using the white skins for both Saurus and Rayblaster and Nemesis fits nice there with the default skin.
Concerning release date i don't have any exact date too but my own guess would be before December. Anyway i'm not sure. Markus and Bastiaan will take their time to prepare the official release properly.
For some people this might be annoying but i think the way how Tone2 handles this without giving too many informations too early is the right way. Those who check the available 3D renderings closely (especially the last two) could already notice several of the included features (more than was already mentioned here...).
Anyway from time to time they offer some additional informations at Facebook (like those 3D renderings posted here and they also confirmed the amount of presets there which are 1040 as already mentioned):

Before or very early december.Ingonator wrote:Agree with Rayblaster but there are some changes in the GUI with Nemesis.GeorgeZ wrote:GUI is even more reminiscent of RayBlaster I think.4damind wrote:The GUI remembers me a bit like a combination of Electrax and SaurusSomebody knows the planned release date?

Ok, early December
I'm not sure with FM at all, I still own the hardware (SY99) and tried the NI FM8... but if this new Tone2 synth will implement FM different enough it could be a interesting option.

I guess I'm not spilling any beans if I am saying it does take a different approach. You only have to take a look at the interface to see a total lack of operator matrixes - which in my book is just positive.4damind wrote:Ok, early December

The SY99 is a pretty cool synth though! I own the TG77 and among my hardware boxes it's one that really stand out. I recently bough an old K2000 rack - had a bunch of fond memories of that one. But it haven't aged nearly as well as the Yamaha SYs. Hell to program - but wonderful sound.

There is some kind of flow matrix on the right display which shows 2 waveforms? Maybe the synth is limited to 2 oscillators (+ sub oscillator) and some routing stuff will be handled there.
I agree, it doesn't need 8 or more operators and a complex matrix like in the hardware. This makes things too complicated.

Feature blurb demo reel is up!
Got a couple of my noises in there! I'm surprised at the variety of tunes and stuff the demo writers came up with. Very versatile imo.

I guess the final MP3 demo will include even more examples but i agree that Nemesis sounds great.

I hope it's easy to coax sounds out of also. Thousands of patches is nice, but some user friendly FM would be a refresher.
