and I have explained it very well, and it happens all the time here.
fact is, the last point is not copied with it.

Lots of love for studio one, but they need a nice feature packed update, also wouldn't hurt to bring on some gui designers on board and tweak the visuals, what about instrument track presets!!!cmon presonus,u know it's time for these by now

talking about pleasant gui (and there's always space for optimation) i must say that i like studio one already more then the clumsy cubase look.
the first moment i fired it up it rememberd me of logic9 (with more blue instead of green) somehow.
ps. hopefully they continue to update this sequencer in the right direction.

Yes, they did a half hearted attempt with music loops. Really weird if you ask me, but maybe make sense for those working with loops.trusampler wrote:Lots of love for studio one, but they need a nice feature packed update, also wouldn't hurt to bring on some gui designers on board and tweak the visuals, what about instrument track presets!!!cmon presonus,u know it's time for these by now
Give us track templates - the thing I miss the most. Such a huge timesaver - especially since setting up multi out VST instruments is cumbersome.

why dont you save your own template? or i understood you wrong?lfm wrote:Give us track templates - the thing I miss the most. Such a huge timesaver - especially since setting up multi out VST instruments is cumbersome.

Nope. Just me trying to reason with him again and failing miserably as always.CTStump wrote:Is this bordering on cyber stalking my friend the tone of "crazyfiltertweaker" is quite familiar
And yes, of course that's M1985, the writing and high level great urgency of literally everything is unmistakable.

What you have now is project templates, and there I try to setup everything - and then remove things I probably won't need. This is the best I found so far - but awful lot of stuff to load on a fresh new project.
You cannot even copy paste stuff from one project to another. That would be a good start - for sure.
But load everything on x tracks, a track folder and children, and whatever - and load possible effects, routings, namings - and save to easily insert at any time in any project is nice.
I tried the music loops thingy - but you only get all outs if there are plugins loaded on them. It's not quite made for this use, I think, since you are to render audio to save this. I have no idea how to use this, really, never worked with loops.
I usually prepare drum track folder, with children for 7 stereo outs routed to a bus and named properly. Setting up Superior Drummer takes about 10 minutes each time if doing from scratch.
And similar use I do for brass section, record lined+amped bass and guitar tracks prepared to get on with it, piano, synth, strings and resuse of other instruments.
So it's not just a instrument preset - it's folders/tracks/busses and effects and instruments.

Yep. Track templates are highly requested. It will be interesting to see when and how they may do it, if they do it soon.
I would imagine the general FR list for it is humongous, as is typically the case in a 2.x. My wild guess would be that v3 will probably lean towards appeasing more of the EDM guys and us linear peeps will have to wait a bit longer for some stuff.

I certainly hope your wild guess is correct here. I'd rather guess that they'll add more features that only appeal to audio recording ("I want my DAW to be an advanced version of my 70's tape recorder and analog mixer") kind of users. Which, I believe, should be about 99% of all Studio One users.LawrenceF wrote:Yep. Track templates are highly requested. It will be interesting to see when and how they may do it, if they do it soon.

Track templates would be a really welcome addition, but I doubt we'll ever see anything useful for a "piano roll sequencing and virtual instruments"-only workflow in version 3.

Track template workaround
http://forums.presonus.com/posts/list/41654.page
Basically, add an effect to each mixer channel of the multi out and then save as a musicloop.
Works for me

Yes, that is the closest, I guess. Thanks.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Track template workaround

But as I recall the tracknames still not remain - you have to fiddle with names on the outs. Something like that. And put a dummy clip that you render to save.
It's a bit of a mystery though - that they made this musicloop thing and forgot about simple track templates.

Maybe there is more love around for S1 as they have Black Friday sales and 50% off

I think it's incredibly inexpensive really, compared to Cubase and the like!auron wrote:Maybe there is more love around for S1 as they have Black Friday sales and 50% off![]()
