We'll know in a week. I know there has been testing in studio one, I hope that live x64 has been put through the ringer though!

What to buy bias dekstop (release in a next month) or Revalver 4?
I heard the sound of Revalver version 4 will not differ from version 3

Post

Hmmmmmmmm. That is not what I "heard" but I wonder if that is true.

Likely, knowing me, I'll justify some reason to have both

Post

BTW, again, I really screwed up with the bias situation. I was "invited" but was like WTF about the resign in and then it's like "beta quota already" and it's like WHAAAAAAAAA?

And there was a thing about it only being mac, which does me no good, so I waited for the windoze version........idiot. :idiot:

I could be trying it now :?

I'm betting on Positive Grid Bias. Can't wait til it comes out. I heard something like Q3. Did they actually give a more concrete time frame?

Judging by all the samples I hear online, Positive Grid sounds like real amps. Revalver 3.5 to me was like a caricature of the amps that were missing the low end, body and weight of real amps (aka thin-sounding) and with lots of artificial fizz. Those Revalver 4 clips do sound better admittedly and they claim they rewrote the whole code but it definitely does have more the signature "Revalver sound" as opposed to coming across as the real amps they are modeling. Bias on the other hand, every amp sounds way more distinct and not to mention more natural sounding.

But are you not excited to try it? I am! :)

How could I not share your excitement, hibidy! I'm actually most interested in the Peavey amps. The odd ones that I like in real life such as the XXX 2 aren't likely to be modeled in other packages. In the end, can't really decide for ourselves until we try. :tu:

hibbidy have you tried Jamup, the metal expansions are awesome, bass is good too.

I don't have an ipad or an iphone :(

Holy, crap. The profiling feature. That's pretty amazing. I have a Variax, but even then, I still want to try this thing out. I've never been this excited for amp software before.
