why so much negativity?

Some of us like watching stuff on youtubez. ok?

Even when I know something well, I'll often learn something new from watching someone else's process. There's always something new that can be learned, every day, for the rest of our lives.

I like the scenes too, very similar to Live's Session view.
Yup, it's so immediate and fun to use. This is exactly what I've been wanting on the iPad and it's already become THE tool over all other iOS music production tools for me.

The most notable feature of Gadget's sequencer is that you can record notes and automation across multiple scenes. Korg has come up with a very clever hybrid between scene/pattern based sequencers like Ableton Live's session view and the linear arrangement sequencers of traditional DAWs. Instead of having two separate disjointed sequencers hacked together like Live's session view/arrangement view, they came up with a single unified solution that caters to both scenarios in an elegant way. Gadget's upcoming audio tracks will probably work in this way too.

Also, you can set different time signatures independently for each scene which opens up a ridiculous amount of possibilities. You can split any of them down to 64ths so technically, you can mathematically arrange tempo, time, and the grid to give you whatever you want.

Can you describe this in a bit more detail? So far I've only been able to edit things within an individual clip.

Editing is still done within individual clips but you can record notes and automation across scenes seamlessly. Just turn off loop to do so.

Ah ha - that explains why some automation that I thought was specific to a clip affected all of them!
