Your thing last year was real cool, sirsicksik, haven't heard the Soundclick stuff as my connection isn't fast enough for streaming.
My input is creative stuff is fun and time well spent. If there's like 5,000 entries and they're all eq's, it's going to be a headache.

I doubt I'm qualified to post, given that I only just used Triplecheese in a track yesterday, for the first time, but...
I'd like to see something (commercial would be fine too), that offers a similar or unique take on Speakerphone. I really liked what I saw in their demo video, but I will never spend $500+ AND add an iLok to my system. A reasonable alternative would be much appreciated. Likewise, rivaling the original is probably far beyond the scope of this challenge.
Grateful for all submissions of any kind. The challenge rocks no matter what gets produced in the end.

ill toss $300 @ anyone who makes a VL plugin that can load vl70-m banks and have them sound reasonably close.
been waiting for one for a couple decades. you can search vl70 and see me begging on a bunch of forums.
i bought a spare vl70-m just in case, which shows how pessimistic i am about it ever bein a plugin.
my original vl70-m is still in great condition even tho after a gig one night i packed up my car and drove home, taking 3 different freeways and many residential streets before stopping a a gas station to grab some pop and snacks and then coming back out to the car to realize that id left my vl70-m on the roof of my car and it had been holding on to the roof with its little rubber feet, terrified, the whole time. that one stays at home now.

It's actually what we can call "atmospheric music"!Tony Ostinato wrote:ill toss $300 @ anyone who makes a VL plugin that can load vl70-m banks and have them sound reasonably close.

With a tape recorder or so, you should have taken the opportunity to record it... blowing in the wind!

I'd like a Kontakt guitar instrument or vst that has the capability to tune each string up or down several semi-tones in order to create alternate tunings. There are a ton of these tunings available which could be programmed as factory presets to make things easier. I'd also like the option for user-tunings.
Also, I'd like the capability to mute any string(s) and also switch strings (for example, assign string four to string 3 and string 3 to string 4, or put high E in B's slot, then mute the first string). This type of repositioning and muting would enable me to emulate some of the four-string tunings I use on guitar.
I'd settle for a regular 6 string capable of alternate tunings, as the second set of specs might prove too difficult and not solicit much demand from the average user.

I think you'd probably have to toss a BIT more than $300 for someone to make a VL VSTi.Tony Ostinato wrote:ill toss $300 @ anyone who makes a VL plugin that can load vl70-m banks and have them sound reasonably close.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Besides a percussion synth, I would like something I can stick a sample in and mess it up beautifully like Alchemy. Obviously not as perfect as Alchemy, but a useful synth. There's my vote.

BlackWinny,
Have you ever considered sampling yourself?

Hamm.. no. Long time ago I have played in little recitals in a franco-chinese amateur group when I periodically came back to France between missions of wild fauna biology worldwide. But now... At 54 years old (nearly 55, it's a question of months) I haven't anymore the same breath control that I had still 10 years ago. And also, as I said in two or three other KVR threads I'm now ill with a deep neurological disease (here a page I did about it, it's one of my numerous contributions to Wikipedia) which takes me many, many hours (and energy) of my days. In fact it's even the reason why I'm retired from my career a bit earlier than usual.Ben H wrote:BlackWinny,

Don't worry... I take the life always with its best side!Ben H wrote:Sorry to hear that.BlackWinny wrote:But now... Simply... I make a huge selection to keep in mind always the essential (first my wife and the music and the discovery of the nature and... friendship), keeping carefully away all the useless (TV series, polemics, politics, money, etc.). And therefore I see my life probably so interesting even now (and after having spent a so enthralling scientific career) that I wouldn't exchange it for any other.

Another suggestion
We need a plugin called "This plugin"
And "this plugin" to deserve it name should be really, really AMAZING !
The future winner of this year perhaps ?
