This one re-synthesizes a snippet from my orchestral work Windschatten, recorded during a rehearsal, it then turns into a pluck synth and many other things in Studio 4, I'm totally...yes, I said that already....damn, wow, Jesus, man, woaaaa

It's pretty effing insane this thing! Until now we've had, what I would call crude ways to manipulate sound, based on analysis, not just brute force changing.. this is another level - it's like they've opened up their crazy LSS algorithm and given us the guts and entrails of our sound to re-arrange as we see fit :)

the Synth stuff is mind-bending - giving each blob a formant path, altering the phase and magnitude of the partials they detect.. I've never seen or heard anything quite like it! I have a kind of giddy-headiness when I think about it..

Those same kind of noises you made at the end of that sentence Simon. they were in my head as well

Absolutely, the depth of control over each partial, the accuracy with which pitch, formants and amplitude are detected, the sound quality it delivers - in contrast to many re-synthesizers which often just spit out blurry, glassy derivatives, faintly reminding of the original source - finally 21st century has produced something mind-boggling, and Celemony don't even use the term revolutionary in their marketing blurb.

Amazing, wish I could afford to upgrade my measly essential version.

What reverb are you using?

those humble Germans..
they do have 'legendary' on the front page, but it's pretty legendary I'd say..
despite all the grumblings on GS..

It's just a shame they removed the ONE thing I actually had realtime fun with Melodyne with - the MIDI-controlled blob-trigger function. Unless it's tucked away in a menu somewhere..

I didn't really appreciate how different this is from additive resynthesis but Peter Neubäcker explains it so well:

A tad of B2, a preset made for that session.

On two computers now I've activated the "Trial" but it is still running in "Player" mode with no editing available.
Restarting the application prompts it to be activated again and there is no longer a trial option.
I have the exact same issue - did you find a solution?

This one uses a simple overtone singing transition, it starts a bit quirky but gets more interesting on the fly. Later I changed the mode to polyphonic and started moving the overtones around. I will be refusing to sleep during the next week I guess...

Hi all guys, anyone knows something about automation features on Melodyne 4 plugin version?
thanks

Formant/Pitch/Volume can be automated, none of the sliders in the sound design department can be automated. I suggest to be your own automation and record transitions directly to disk via a buss, analog automation like in the 1970s.

Very clever from you to choice a singing overtone...i couldn't imagine a more appropriate kind of signal than this one for such peculiar sonic manipulations

it is my understanding that the synth and partial editing is applied globally to the track
